5x5ClassifierBracketTimesUpdated•  The5x5classifierhasbeenverywellreceivedbyIDPAshooters.Boththe72

roundclassifierandthe5x5classifierhavebeenshotmanytimesbymanyshooters.HQhascollectedandanalyzedtheseclassifiertimes.ItisclearthatIDPAshooterscontinuetoimprovetheirshootingatalllevels.The5x5classifierbracketshavebeenadjustedabittohelpprovideequitybetweenthetwoclassifiers,andreflecttheimprovementsmadebyallshooters.

•  Newbracketsforclassificationtimeshavebeenpostedforthe5x5classifier.ThesenewbracketswentintoeffectWednesday,1/1/2020.

•  All5x5classifiersposted1/1/2020andbeyondwillfallunderthenewtimebrackets.

andaroundcountof73rounds.ThematchwasdesignedtobeeasilysetupandrunbyallIDPAclubsregardlessoftheirsizeandrangelimitations,includingindoors.

•  ThestagesweredesignedbyRickLund&KenReedwhoareservingasthematchdirectorsforthisevent.Wearelookingtoaddthesestagesasclassifiersinthefuture.

•  ThematchwillbeopentoallclubsandmembersingoodstandingbetweenthedatesofJanuary1st,2020andApril30th,2020.ThiscutoffdateallowstimetocalculateNationalsmatchpointsandgetthemintothedatabase.AllDivisionsarerecognized.

•  Competitorsmayonlyenteronetimeinadivisionandmaycompeteinuptofourdivisionsduringtheperiodthematchisopenearningasinglematchpointforeachdivision.

•  AfterApril30th,thefinalscoreswillbepostedonline,Nationalmatchpointstallied,andtheawardswillbeemailedtoeachcompetitorusingtheemailprovidedwhentheyregisteredtocompeteinPractiscore.Thisisimportant,yourMDsmustcaptureavalidemailaddressforeveryshooterinPractiscore..

•  AswemoveintotheweekendwithoneweekleftbeforewereachthehalfwaypointforthePostalMatch,weareapproaching2300entries.Ourresultsarenow43pageslong.

•  WedoneedtostarttrimmingtheentriesthathaveNOIDPAmembershipnumberandthosescoreswhichareincomplete.ThismeansweneedyoutoemailusanynewIDPAnumbersorremainingscoresfromincompleteruns.

•  PleasealsorememberthatthereisonlyoneentrypermittedPERdivision.Wesimplycan'tscrutinizescorestodetermineifyour2ndor3rdrunisbettertogiveabettertime.

•  PrerequisitestobecomeaCSOarelistedintheMatchAdministrationRulesdocument.

•  CSOcandidatesmustcompleteanapplicationwiththerecommendationofanSOIand/orClubContact.

•  ThecandidatewillthenneedtobeapprovedbytheAreaCoordinatororInternationalPointofContactandsubsequentlypasstheCSOexam.

•  Theonlinerecertificationtestwillconsistof30questionswithascoreofatleast80%correctrequiredtopass.Twoattemptsatthetestareallowedpercalendaryear.ThisisaspeciallydevelopedtestwithsituationalquestionsthatarespecifictorunningT3orhighertiermatches.

•  ThisrecertificationexamwillgointoeffectfornewapplicantsandrecertifyingCSOsinJanuaryof2020.

•  NotethattheCSOexpirationdateistheSOexpirationdateandislistedontheIDPADashboardintheRolesarea.

•  CSOCertificationorrecertificationwillupdatetheSOexpirationdatebytwoyears.

•  IDPAhassomeinactiveCSOs,thatarenotworkingmatchesanymore.Inthenextfewmonths,ACs/IPOCswillbereviewingthehistoryofmatchesworkedbycurrentCSOs.

•  CSOsfoundoutofcompliancewillbeassignedSOstatus.•  OnceamemberbecomesaCSO,theywillmaintaintheirstatusbysuccessfully

participatinginofficiatingmatchesandtakingtheCSOrecertificationexameverytwoyears.

•  ACs/IPOCshavetheabilitytorescindCSOstatusbasedoninactivity,infractionsorotherissues.
