2019/2020 Annual Housestaff Allowance

Medical Residents and Clinical Fellows are eligible for the following benefits described below, some restrictions apply.

$1,100 one-time relocation allowance (PGY I & II Residents only) †For mitigation of new expenses as the start of residency at UC Davis. New PGYI and PGY II residents starting in the 2019/2020 academic year are eligible. Payments are processed automatically based on eligibility and will be distributed in mid-September.

One-time reimbursement of USMLE Step III Exam FeesThe minimum amount allowed of $690 for tests taken after July 1, 2019. Please submit receipts to Marcia Pereira in the GME office for reimbursement. Contact Marcia Pereira with any questions: mpereira@ucdavis.edu | 916-734-7797.

2019/2020 Annual Housestaff AllowanceMandatory Training for All Residents & Fellows

$1,500 personal allowance (Residents & Clinical Fellows) †This one-time, annual allowance is paid to all medical PGY levels who have successfully completed their annual on-line trainingrequirements AND who are compliant with their annual TB screening.*

The following training is required annually for all new and returning residents and must be completed through the UC Learning Center. The UC Learning center can be accessed from work or home by typing http://lms.ucdavis.edu into the address bar using your UC Davis Login (Kerberos). From within UC Learning Center, search for the required modules using the unique course codes.

Ecotime for Residents & Fellows (Course Code 08696)

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) (Your initial in-person training course will be scheduled by your Program Coordinator) – renewal as assigned

Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare (Course Code DAHS-UCLOL0033-ECO-WPV) *Compliance for the personal allowance is monitored automatically by GME & Human Resources, and does not require notification of completion by the Resident or Fellow. New and returning Residents and Fellows must meet all compliance requirements within 2 months of their start date in order to receive their personal allowance. Payments will be made in September/October each year.
