Our History 2017

Our first year of the Veterans Day Classic, the goal was to get this brand new, Veterans Day Classic golf tournament off the ground and honor ALL VETERANS who proudly served our country. Getting players was a challenge, let alone raising any revenue for charity. We were, however, able to scrape together a $200 donation to The First Tee of the Coastal Carolinas.

2018

The tournament paid special tribute to three groups: WWII Veterans: Gold Star Families and Purple Heart Recipients and we got aggressive with our fundraising efforts. With hard work, our generous sponsors helped us generate $5,000 in revenue for four local charities in Brunswick and Horry Counties. EVERY DOLLAR DONATED by our sponsors was returned to those in need within our local communities. The real winners in our golf event are those in need, our neighbors in coastal North and South Carolina. Julie’s Kids, The Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, The Veterans Home and Resource Center and The First Tee of the Coastal Carolinas were gracious recipients of donations in 2018.

What does your 2019 Sponsorship Mean?

In 2019 our intention is to honor all of our veterans, highlighting Korean War heroes. With our financial sights set even higher, we hope to generate $10,000 for the local charities selected as 2019 recipients.
