Day 13: Tue, Feb 26 – CAIRO. It’s a day of bucket list moments as we venture to Ancient Memphis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a number of amazing monuments to see – including the enigmatic Great Sphinx. After seeing the pyramids from afar yesterday, you’ll have a thrilling opportunity to view them from an up-close perspective. Featured Excursions: Ancient Memphis sites, including the Pyramids of Giza with small pyramid entry, Great Sphinx, and Sakkara visit. Not to Miss Moment: Today you’ll visit the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. (B)

Day 14: Wed, Feb 27 – CAIRO – AMMAN. Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Amman. Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport meet Tour Director for a group transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Day 15: Thur, Feb 28 – AMMAN – MOUNT NEBO – MADABA – KERAK – WADI MUJIB – PETRA. Depart today for a scenic drive along the Kings Highway to the lost city of Petra. Visit MOUNT NEBO, where Moses saw the Promised Land. Next to the old mosaic city of Madaba which is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Visit ST. GEORGE’S CHURCH, which houses a precious 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Also explore the MADABA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM. Continue to Kerak, for a visit to the CRUSADER CASTLE and Wadi Mujib, the “Jordanian Grand Canyon.” Continue to the “Rose-Red City” of Petra, where you can relax at your hotel this evening or explore the ancient city. Day 16: Fri, Mar 01 – PETRA – AMMAN. Full day of guided sightseeing in Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World®. Lost to the world for centuries, it is located in the biblical land of Moab. Enjoy an unforgettable experience as you walk down the SIQ, the narrow gorge made famous in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Stand in awe in front of the iconic and famed TREASURY. You’ll see spectacular temples and tombs created out of the rose-colored sandstone, and sip tea in a real BEDOUIN TENT. Return to Amman tonight for your overnight stay. Day 17: Sat, Mar 02 – AMMAN – EXCURSION TO THE DEAD SEA – IN TRANSIT. Return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure before checking out. Day 4: Sun, Feb 17 – CAIRO. The ancient quarter of Cairo is intense – the colors, the sounds, the density of people – and it’s likely been this way for thousands of years. Your Egyptologist will show you a 12th century citadel, the beautiful Alabaster Mosque. Note: Photography of any kind is forbidden inside the museum, including digital cameras, cell phones and camcorders. Day 5: Mon, Feb 18 – CAIRO – FLY TO LUXOR – EMBARK RIVER TOSCA – DENDERA. Day 6: Tue, Feb 19 – DENDERA – LUXOR. Like its twin shrine, the Temple of Karnak, the Temple of Luxor stands on the site of ancient Thebes, the once flourishing capital of Egypt’s New Kingdom. You’ll also visit the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty. Featured Excursions: Temple of Hathor and Temple of Luxor. Day 7: Wed, Feb 20 – LUXOR – KOM OMBO. The word “colossal” will take on a whole new meaning after today’s excursion to the gigantic twin statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. You’ll also visit the temple of one of Egypt’s rare female pharaohs as well as the Valley of the Kings. Featured Excursions: Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings. Onboard: Tonight, don your galabeya (traditional Egyptian attire) for an onboard party featuring traditional Egyptian music. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Thur, Feb 21 – KOM OMBO – ASWAN. After visiting a temple dedicated to a crocodile god today, hop aboard a small boat for a bird-watching excursion along the Nile. Day 9: Fri, Feb 22 – ASWAN. Today is an epic day, filled with wonders from start to finish. You’ll visit a marvel of modern engineering – the Aswan High Dam – as well as the Unfinished Obelisk and the beautiful Philae Temple complex. Featured Excursions: Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple, plus boat ride in traditional Nile River felucca and afternoon tea at the Old Cataract Hotel Aswan. Day 10: Sat, Feb 23 – ASWAN – KOM OMBO – EDFU. Spend your morning at leisure exploring Aswan, perhaps stopping for an optional tour of the indescribable rock temples of Abu Simbel, before heading to Kom Ombo this afternoon. (B, L, D)

Day 11: Sun, Feb 24 – ESNA – LUXOR. On today’s excursion, you’ll learn how the Temple of Esna was buried under debris for many centuries and is one of the last great Egyptian temples ever built. Featured Excursion: Temple of Esna. (B, L, D)

Day 12: Mon, Feb 25 – LUXOR – DISEMBARK RIVER TOSCA – FLY TO CAIRO – TRANSFER TO CAIRO HOTEL. Disembark in Luxor and return to the airport for your return flight to Cairo. Then, check-in to the Four Seasons Hotel at Nile Plaza where you’ll have time to relax before tonight’s featured excursion
