PREPARATIONThere is no preparation, the resin fi gure comes ready to paint. Any slight imperfections can be lightly sanded. Wipe with a damp cloth.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONSShade the bricks, under the snow on the chimney, above the snow on the rooftop, and under the snow on the house with Heritage Brick.

Shade the snow under Santa on the chimney, and under the chimney and around the bag with Victorian Blue. Also, drybrush some Victorian Blue in the “dips” of the snow in both areas.

Shade Santa’s face under the hat, on both sides and under the eyebrows with Dried Clay. Highlight the bridge of the nose and eye area with Warm White. Blush the cheeks, bottom of the nose and lip with Wild Berry (this will take more than one application on the cheeks). Fill in the eyes with Warm White. Add the iris with Victorian Blue and the pupil with Lamp Black. Outline the top of the eye and add a couple eyelashes with Lamp Black. Add dot highlights of Warm White in the upper right of the eyes, top of the cheeks and a dash on the lip.

Shade Santa’s hat, above the fur, next to the raised design, above the ball, and in the crease at the back; shade Santa’s suit, under the hair & beard, on the sleeves, under the sleeves, against the fur on the sleeves, next to the raised design on the sleeves, on the front against the fur, under the fur, above & below the belt, on the pants under the coat, above the raised design on the leg, to separate the legs and in the creases on the pant legs with Antique Maroon. Highlight the center of the hat, against the crease on the hat, center of the sleeves, center front of the coat,

on the back of the coat in the open areas, and above the creases on the pants with Fiery Red. Paint the raised design on the hat and suit with Emperor’s Gold.

Shade the bear with Burnt Sienna, around the muzzle, bottom of the muzzle, inside the ears, top of the paws, on the legs under Santa’s arm, and on the legs to sepa-rate them. Drybrush highlights with Marigold top of the ears, center of the face, top of the muzzle, top of the paws, center of the legs and top of the toes. The eyes and nose are Lamp Black with tiny Warm White dot highlights.

Shade the bottom of the pipe, above and below the tie on the bag, above the raised area on the bag, bottom of the bag and inside the bag with Soft Black. Highlight the stem and bowl of the pipe, edges of the bag, center of the bag and on the raised area on the bag with Hon-ey Brown. Shade around the tobacco with Burnt Sienna and highlight the center with Marigold. Shade the tie with Soft Black against the knot, bottom of the knot, and above the tassels. Shade the bottom of the block with Soft Black and highlight the top with Warm White. Shade the bottom of the ball with Heritage Brick and highlight the top with Fiery Red. Shade the bottom of the bell with Burnt Sienna and highlight the center with Emperor’s Gold. Shade the bottom of the candy canes with Victorian Blue.

Highlight the center of the mittens, thumb on the mit-ten under the pipe, the toe, heel, wrinkles and sole of the boot with a drybrush of Antique White. The buckle on the boot is Emperor’s Gold.

Stipple the fur with Antique White, allowing some of the Honey Brown to show as well.

Wash the beard with Warm White. Shade the hair under the hat, on the beard under the mustache, and in the “dips” of the beard with Graphite. Overstroke the beard, mustache and eyebrows using a liner brush and thinned Warm White.

FINISHINGFinish with several light coats of Acrylic Sealer Finisher Matte Spray.

Apply Dura Clear Matte Varnish to the snow areas and sprinkle with DecoArt Glamour Dust.
