We are the Global Greeters at UVA and we are so excited to have you join us for orientation week. As you settle into your new home in Charlottesville, we, along with the International Studies Office, are here to help you transition to life with the Wahoo family.

In this brochure, you’ll find activities that Global Greeters have organized in preparation for your arrival. The events are opened to all new international undergraduate, graduate, and exchange students (unless noted otherwise). We hope to make memories with you at many of our events!

Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions. We’re here to help! You can find our contact information in the back of this brochure or you can come find us throughout the week (we’ll be the ones in the Global Greeters t-shirts)!

Join us for a tour to learn about the best kept secrets around Grounds. Find out about beautiful gardens, study spots, hidden paths, edible plants, where to print, dining hall locations, student entrances at stadiums and more...

Itinerary will be adjusted to participants’ interests.

Visit Thomas Jefferson’s home at Monti-cello. We will go on a guided tour of the house and you will have time to explore the grounds on your own. Bus transpor-

tation to and from Monticello will be provided for free.

TOUR FEE: $13, pay by check or cash (in exact change) at Minor Hall, Room 226

by August 14th.

Please bring your UVA student ID card at the time of payment and to Monticello.
