Day 1 - Shanghai – the gate to China
The SAIC factory in Lingang
The SAIC factory in Lingang is the first factory
producing the new RX5 internet SUV. The
RX5 is equipped with the YunOs, an
automotive operating system co-developed
with Alibaba. The system can make digital
payments and other IoT applications. In
Lingang SAIC produces also models for
Roewe and MG. SAIC is also the China
partner for VW.
The additional foundation of Tesla’s
Gigafactory in Lingang has attracted even
more state-of-the-art automotive suppliers,
manufacturers and service companies to the
industrial area.

Day 2 - Shanghai Anting – the auto city
Modern production and e-mobility
Anting has developed in the past year into one
of the most important automotive hubs in
China and the world. Contributing to the
importance of Anting are the global HQ of NIO
and the e-factory from VW. Both locations are
opening their doors for us.
At VW we will be looking at the connected
manufacturing, which is expected to go live in
the early beginning of 2020. And at NIO we
will be talking about e-mobility and becoming
a lifestyle brand in China.

Day 3 - Hangzhou – Chinas Silicon Valley
The global mobility investor Geely
Hangzhou aims to become the new technology
capital of China. The city is home to the Chinese
internet giants Alibaba and NetEase. The result is
a regional focus on machines learning.
Based on the technologic background the
Hangzhou automotive company Geely strives to
become a leading car and technology company.
Due to Geely’s HQ in Hangzhou, the region also
gained in importance for the automotive sector
Geely is already expanding globally through the
acquisition of Volvo, partnership with Daimler and
foundation of the Polestar brand.
Moreover, is Geely invested in numerous
automotive tech companies like the ridehailing
company CAOCAO, which focusses on using e-
cars to compete with the Chinese market leader
DIDI. Secondly, Geely set up a new tech
company called iNTEC which develops IoT
components for the interior, security and engine
of cars. Recently Geely acquired the German
start-up Volocopter to revolutionize air mobility in
mega cities

Day 4 – Suzhou – Chinas new growthengine
The computer in the car
Different from Hangzhou or Shanghai, Suzhou is a second
tier city. Due to the beneficial location in the middle of the
triangle between Shanghai , Hangzhou and Nanjing the city
has been discovered by an increasing number of
international and Chinese companies.
The Suzhou Industrial Park has already attracted the likes
of Microsoft, Bosch and Continental. Moreover, the Suzhou
higher education town holds over 100,000 students to
provide qualified working force to companies.
In 2018 Momenta opened its HQ in Suzhou, the same year
it also got evaluated at over $1bn, becoming the first
autonomous driving unicorn in China. Next to Momenta we
will also visit Banma in Shanghai, who partners with SAIC
for their autonomous driving solution.

Law, employees, tax and customer markets in China are differing from the Western
conditions. Therefore we are spending our last day getting to know Chinese and
international partner who know how to navigate and overcome the business challenges in
China.
Moreover, the investment roadshow gives companies, who are looking for capital, to present
their business ideas to Chinese investment houses and funds. $60bn of the global $300bn
spend on mobility globally over the next five years is expected to be invested in China.
During both the investment roadshow and the networking session you will be supported by
