Ÿ The itinerary can vary, subject to decisions of charterers and based on safety onboard.

Ÿ Feel free to pack snacks and alcoholic beverages for personal consumption. (Two liters wine/person and one litre hard liquor/person are allowed through customs.) Rest assured though - alcohol is freely available by means of a cash bar onboard that is billed to your room and settled upon departure.

Ÿ The deposit of R9000 is non-refundable. The next deposit of R5000 is due by 28 February 2019. The balance is due by 30 June 2019.

Ÿ These prices are based on EFT payments. The cost for Credit Card payments can be advised to you on application.

Ÿ You will need a passport valid for six months after we return – until 1 April 2020 – with at least two clear facing pages. Ÿ If you are travelling with a South African Passport, you will need a visa for Croatia – at extra cost.

Ÿ Members of a medical aid: remember to get a medical travel insurance letter from your medical aid, covering the travel period.

Ÿ NB: ALL prescription medication must be accompanied by the physical prescription.

Ÿ Some arrangements will be made in partnership with Sure Voyager Travel in Durban, our trusted and experienced partners. They will handle all deposits and payments as per the booking form and requirements. Please make sure to supply the correct reference number for this tour: Croa2019.

Ÿ Bookings are very much on a first come first served basis and your deposit is what secures your place with Gerrie on this wonderful tour.

Ÿ The rate of exchange used is €1 = R17. If the currency varies, so does the price of the tour until the final payment is received.

Ÿ We have only experienced lovely weather in the past - do however bring something along for cooler evenings and sudden change in the weather.

Ÿ Pack your perfume, deodorant and creams (any liquids) in your suitcase – not in your hand luggage. You are not allowed to carry more than 100 ml with you.

DAY 1: Thursday 26 September DAY 2: Friday 27 September

Tonight an optional opportunity to enjoy a Bosphorous Cruise – or learn the tricks of belly dancing at a special traditional Turkish dinner.

Another exciting day in Istanbul, to enjoy at your leisure and at your own pace in the city of cultures!

Maybe today you would like to take a tram ride over to the new part of Istanbul and visit Taksim square and walk back to Galata bridge along the pedestrian street of Istiklal Street – but leave your purse behind, the shopping is too tempting!

Tonight you will be treated to a special welcoming Turkish dinner experience complete with the Whirling Dervish's!

Galata Bridge is calling! From here you can watch the ferries come and go as you savour your Balik Ekmek (fish sandwich), they are addictive and cheap as chips!

No time to lose – there is so much to see and Gerrie will make sure you do. The Grand Bazaar, The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Spice Souk with a fascinating, tasting walk-through, sampling many delights.

Early arrival in Istanbul and just enough time to check in, freshen up and be ready to EXPLORE – with Gerrie leading the way to share his passion for the fascinating landmarks of the Sultanahmet – the Old Town of Istanbul  ... Filled with spires and minarets – the skyline makes for interesting photos when you gather in the rooftop restaurants and gaze over to the Bosphorous.

Imagine glimpsing the Blue Mosque whilst enjoying your Humus, quail eggs and even Halva for breakfast – it’s unique!

DAY 3 - DAY 10: From Saturday 28 September (Start seven nights on our luxury cruiser)

Dubrovnik, the unique-walled city – the Unesco Heritage site and home to the Game of Thrones – it is remarkable to walk those walls and see inside this beautifully preserved 7th Century City.

Dinners are ashore as well so you have plenty of time so sample the local fare and share some great times together – including a famous Peka Dinner at a traditional Konoba in Korcula. This experience is a MUST, that is why we included it for you …

And there is so much more – but you will have to join us and come to see for yourself what Gerrie has in store for you – it is non-stop excitement and fun – except, of course when you are relaxing on the boat, enjoying the scenery and maybe a good book!

Each island is different, with a unique experience on offer – Makarska with its beautiful mountain-backed promenade and busy, busy nightlife. Hvar with its castle watching over all the revellers in their restaurant-lined lanes. Mljet with its gorgeous National Park, through which we can cycle and take the boat across the lake to the Monastery – the deafening hum of the Cicadas!

Early departure from Istanbul and we head for the next, slower part of our holiday – flying to Dubrovnik …

On arrival we transfer to our home port, beautiful Split - some time to explore and even shop (very tempting here especially under the castle) before we embark on our beautiful luxury cruiser, our home for the next seven nights.

Whilst aboard, we will be treated to breakfast and lunch each day as we sail between islands, watching the gorgeous scenery float by, now and again stopping for a swim in an idyllic bay or off a lovely beach.

Our afternoons will be spent ashore on one of the many islands we will visit, providing you with a great time with Gerrie, who will take you to all his hidden delights, which he is just dying to share with you!

DAY 11: Saturday 5 October

Here we will have several hours to explore by foot or tram and have our “last lunch” together before driving through to Zagreb, where we board our flight home via Istanbul.

All too soon we will be disembarking in Split, but it is not all over yet … We still have another remarkable experience for you ... We will drive north and stop in at Plitvice Lakes National Park – an area of exceptional beauty with its 17 lakes, all cascading into each other – it is exquisite.

DAY 12: Sunday 6 October

With many incredible memories, we return home to share our experiences with those who could not join this memorable tour!
