    #2 Ferris State Hosts Davenport For Senior Day THIS SATURDAY

    Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally second-ranked Ferris State University football squad will host West Michigan foeDavenport for the first time ever this Saturday (Nov. 3) as the Bulldogs take on the Panthers in their regular-seasonhome finale at Top Taggart Field.

    The Bulldogs are currently 9-0 overall and atop the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at 7-0 this year.

    Kickoff for the Senior Day game presented by Betten Baker of Big Rapids is set for 1 p.m. (ET). Fans are encouraged to"come early, cheer loud and wear red" with a special ceremony honoring this year's 13-member senior class starting at12:40 p.m.

    Ferris State is currently a consensus top-five team in every Division II poll and is seeking its fifth consecutive NCAADivision II Playoff appearance this season after back-to-back trips to the national quarterfinals or beyond.

    Meanwhile, Davenport has one of the nation's most improved squads this year under second-year head coach and FerrisState alum Sparky McEwen, who previously served on the FSU coaching staff under the Bulldogs' Tony Annese. ThePanthers are 6-3 overall and 3-3 in the GLIAC to date.

    The Wheeler Pavilion Gameday Ticket Office will open on Saturday at 11 a.m. (ET) with the gates to the stadiumopening at 11:30 a.m. (ET). Tailgating will begin three hours prior to game time.

    Football tickets in advance for Saturday's game are only $14 for adults or $12 for senior citizens (ages 65+) and FSUfaculty/staff with students age 5-17 priced at $8. Ferris students with ID will be admitted free for the football game byshowing their student identification cards.

    Parking in lots near Top Taggart Field is $5 per available space on a first-come, first-served basis. As a convenience tofans, credit cards will also be accepted at the ticket window along with the concession stand.

    Big Rapids, Mich. - One of the state's longest running collegiate hockey rivalries returns this weekend as the Ferris StateUniversity Bulldogs square off against the Michigan State Spartans in a non-league home-and-home series on Fridayand Saturday (Nov. 2-3) evenings.

  • The Bulldogs and the Spartans will square of for the 126th and 127th times starting on Friday night at 7 p.m. (ET) atMunn Ice Arena in East Lansing. The series then returns to FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena on Saturday for a 7:07 p.m. (ET)puck drop.

    Limited tickets remain for Saturday night's in-state showdown and fans are encouraged to purchase as soon as possibleas a potential sellout crowd is again expected.

    This past weekend, the Bulldogs opened Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) action with a home sweepover Alaska-Anchorage and find themselves at the top of the league standings heading into this week's non-leagueaction. The Bulldogs have won six of the last 10 matchups versus MSU heading into the series.

    The FSU Athletic Ticket Office's normal business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) with extendedhours on Wednesday until 7 p.m. (ET).

    Overall, FSU has posted more than 25 total sellouts at the Ewigleben Ice Arena since the second half of a historic 2011-12 campaign in which the Bulldogs reached the national championship game at the NCAA Frozen Four.

    Surplus sealed bid sale inspection - Nov 3 update The listing has changed with additions and some removals due to departmental interests.

    Surplus Sealed Bid Sale (Vehicles, Grounds Equipment, Pool Tables, Exercise Equipment, Wood Lathe,Table Saw, Dust Collector, and a large variety of miscellaneous items) Items will be sold via sealed bid and may be inspected between the hours of 9AM and noon on November3rd at the West end of the General Services building located at the corner of Knollview Dr. and State St. inBig Rapids. Bids will be accepted during the inspection period and on November 5th (in the receivingarea), from 9AM to 4PM. We will contact winning bidders only beginning the day after the bid deadline;all items must be paid for and removed by the of day on November 14.

    All items are sold “as is where is” and all sales are final. Ferris is not responsible for accident or injury,reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and reserves the right to remove any and all items from thesale.

    New LGBTQ+ Resource Center Coordinator I would like for you to join me in welcoming to campus Sarah Doherty, our new LGBTQ+ Resource Center Coordinator. Sarahholds a BA in Women’s Studies and Sociology from Cornell University and an MSW in community based practice fromPortland State University’s School of Social Work. In addition to working with LGBTQ communities at Cornell, Portland State,and Arkansas State University, Sarah brings twenty years of experience in community organizing and community building,from student organizing to activism with the Boston Lesbian Avengers to work in the disability arts and immigrant justice
