THANK YOU to all that were part ofmaking this year's Day of Caring

Life Changing!The ladies and children from Prescott Area Shelter Serviceshad a wonderful time enjoying their spa day. The childrenreceived goodie bags filled with fun activities and toiletry items.The ladies were treated to spa treatments and productscourtesy of Prescutts Hair Salon, and nail treatments providedby Absolutely All About You. Avon samples provided byconsultant Donna Benghsuser. Additional product samplesprovided by Maka, Salon Centric and Armstrong-McCall BeautySupplies. A delicious lunch was provided courtesy of Ms.Naturals. Additionally, wonderful fresh flowers were provided byBowen’s Botanicals and a clothing & jewelry shopping spreeprovided by Amy’s Outdoor Exchange rounded out the day.Transportation for the ladies and kiddos was courtesy ofFindlay Auto. Additional sponsorship provided by Iron Springs Plaza Laundry . Proceeds from sales ofthe day at Dark Mountain Yoga were donated to PASS. The UWYC staff coordinated the event andprovided goodie bags for the kiddos and some of the gift bag contents for the ladies. Special thanks toUWYC Development Coordinator, Brandon Young for creating this event in loving memory of his lateaunt and uncle, Paul & Dianne Messer.

These amazing businesses have embraced community outreach in a tangible way. Thanks to themand our faithful volunteers, hope has been renewed and lives have been changed. Now that’s LivingUnited!

Scott is a Senior Lecturer with NorthernArizona University’s Statewide Branch Campuses, and recently launched a new degreeprogram in Interdisciplinary Studies and Strategic Leadership in Prescott Valley, Mesa andPhoenix. Prior to teaching, Scott spent several years in audit and consulting with Fortune100 companies, and continues to work with companies today building thriving cultures.

Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...Your United Way of Yavapai County Team participated in the 2019 Festival of Trees which benefitedone of our Partner Program Agencies, Kind Defined. The event was held over four days at the PrescottGateway Mall. Local businesses sponsored trees and decorated them. The trees were then auctionedoff to benefit youth programs offered by Kind Defined. Our tree was themed "United We Stand" and wasa tribute to our armed forces.

UWYC Staff Holiday TraditionsNina, our Finance & Community Investment Manager:Every year I make a homemade seafood bouillabaisse. The family looks forwardto enjoying this family favorite. We always watch National Lampoon's ChristmasVacation while we decorate the tree.

Brandon, our Development Coordinator: I enjoy spending time with my grandparents and mother.

Kimberly, our Office Manager:Every year I decorate multiple Christmas trees in my home. My husband and I decorate Christmascookies and watch the vintage Christmas cartoons, even though we have no children at home.
