Earlier in the summer,

Lions Legacy Foundation

Board member Dan

Calongne organized the

effort to take down the

old lights on the high

school football field and

set up new state-of-art

LED lights. The new

lighting system replaced

the nearly 40 year-old

creosote poles that were

just worn down to noth-

ing. Thanks to the gener-

osity of several compa-

nies local and in Baton

Rouge, Ascension Chris-

tian students who play

football and soccer can

enjoy the Friday night

lights in a new way. Visi-

tors to the campus enjoy

Capital Improvements,

the Foundation has

raised over $25,000.

The Board has identified

more opportunities for

connecting people to

Leave a Legacy and will

continue to generate

funds to support the on-

going growth of the

schools.

The Lions Legacy Foun-

dation was established

in 2018 to raise funds

for Ascension Christian

School. The needs of the

school continue to grow.

The Foundation works

to offset costs by raising

funds from the commu-

nity and supporters who

can afford to Leave a

Legacy. The Board of

early August. Coach

Puryear and his team

sent emails to family and

friends who responded

Thank you to everyone

Coach Puryear said, “The

Suite was a cool respite

for many in attendance

including those who just

came by to watch their

family members play.

Many players enjoyed

taking a break and relax-

ball games. After the

games were finished the

winning team was award-

The event was not only a great
