Community Tourism and Cultural Industries

• Tourism outfitters, municipalities, artists or artist groups, arts organizations and societies

• $1,000 to $35,000 per application.

Product Development and Marketing (Schedule B)

• Recording• Exhibition, shows, touring presentations• Developing marketing strategies• Marketing tourism activities• Community engagement and development

• Communities, tourism establishments, tourism outfitters, artists or artists groups and societies

• $5,000 to $100,000 per application

Infrastructure Improvement (Schedule C)

• Develop new and repair/upgrade existing arts, culture and tourism infrastructure

• Improving visitor centres and visitor welcome displays at Nunavut airports

• Develop new and repair/upgrade shared arts studio space• Community beautification• Producing art for public spaces

• Tourist accommodations, municipalities, societies and artist groups with shared studio space or intending to establish shared studio space

• $25,000 to $100,000 per application

Aviation Scholarship

SCHEDULE ACTIVITY ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS MAXIMUM AMOUNT• Up to six scholarships for residents of Nunavut who want to

pursue aviation-related training• Nunavut Inuit or residents of Nunavut (living in Nunavut for the last

two years)• Pursuing full-time training for an aviation-related career• Planning to work in Nunavut after completion of the training

• Up to $7,500 per successful applicant

Country Food Distribution

• Community-identified initiatives that will improve the local harvesting economy

• Nunavut municipalities• Nunavut hunters and trappers organizations • Other organizations with a letter of support from the municipality or

hunters and trappers organization

• $30,000 per community per year• $10,000 per year for utilities and maintenance

of a community freezer and/or other country food infrastructure

Community Harvesting Infrastructure Fund (Schedule B)

• Repair and upgrade of community freezer, community market or cut and wrap facilities

• Design, purchase and installation of new community freezer, community market or cut and wrap components and infrastructure

• Nunavut municipalities• Nunavut hunters and trappers organizations

• $400,000 per year up to $800,000

Nunavut Prospectors Program

creating a better information base of Nunavut’s mineral deposits

Small Business Support

Entrepreneur Development Fund (Schedule B)

• Assists business through training and skill development• Eligible training includes accounting, bookkeeping,

business start-up, and tourism safety and risk management• Also assists in the establishment of business

aftercare programs

• Nunavut small businesses owned at minimum 51% by Nunavut residents

• Nunavut residents• Nunavut organizations

Sustainable Livelihood Fund (Schedule C)

• Supports activity in the tourism, arts and crafts, and harvesting sectors

• Assistance to overcome immediate legal or bookkeeping problems

• Supports the purchase of tools and other minor capital items• Helps pay for tourism operators’ liability insurance

• Nunavut small businesses• Nunavut self-employed entrepreneurs• Nunavut outfitters, guides, adventure tour operators, arts and crafts

productions, or commercial renewable resource harvesters

• $10,000 lifetime max per applicant
