Chris Villarrial is set to begin his eighth season as Head Coach of the Saint Francis football program. Villarrial earned back-to-back NEC Coach of the Year awards after leading SFU to its first ever NEC Regular Season Title and the program’s first FCS Playoffs berth in 2016. He was also named the ECAC Coach of the Year and was a finalist for STATS FCS National Coach of the Year for the second straight season.Villarrial spent 12 years in the NFL with the Chicago Bears (1995-2004) and the Buffalo Bills (2004-06). The Hershey, Pa. native was cho-sen in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Bears and blossomed in the Windy City. Villarrial was a two-time All-Pro and a four-times Pro Bowler, and he helped pave the way for four different 1,000 yard rushers. In 2004 Vil-larrial signed with the Buffalo Bills and was part of a line that gave up the fewest sacks in franchise history in 2006. He finished his career with 148 career starts.

Tony Wise has 37 years of coaching experience, including 18 years in the NFL as an offensive line coach, leading the lines for the Cowboys (1989-92), Bears (1993-98), Panthers (1999-00), Dolphins (2001-04) and Jets (2006-07). Wise spent 19 years coaching college football, most recently at Pitt (2008-10). Wise coached the offensive line for the Cowboys’ Super Bowl victory in 1992 and his lines helped Emmitt Smith to back-to-back NFL rushing titles. In the college ranks, Wise helped Miami to win a National Championship in 1987.
