Welcome to San Diego, California!

As the new President and CEO of the Defense Credit Union Council, it is a great

honor to greet all DCUC members, speakers, exhibitors, and guests to our 54th Annual

Conference on behalf of DCUC’s Board of Directors, management, and staff. We are

very excited you are here, and we look forward to making this week another great

DCUC experience.

We are very pleased our conference is in San Diego. The city hosts one of the largest

naval fleet concentrations in the world and is home to the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet.

San Diego is also known as “America’s Finest City” and is popular due to its natural

beauty and near perfect weather featuring 70 miles of stunning beaches, over 260

days of sunshine, and lots of fun, urban adventures right outside our hotel.

Our theme this year, “Serving Those Who Serve Our Country,” is a motto that

captures our mission and highlights our relationship with our nation’s military and

their families. As such, our exceptional general and educational breakout sessions;

our sold-out Showcase with a Purpose featuring Purple Heart Homes, and our special

Hall of Honor Dinner focus on this theme. We have strong numbers and a diverse

group of attendees, a packed lineup of our industry’s best conference speakers, and

special tours available to our delegates, spouses, and guests. Most importantly, it is

seeing each of you again and watching as you reconnect with friends and colleagues

that make this week so special.

We thank you all for your committed support of your Council, and we hope your

conference experience is the best to date. We look forward to seeing all of you at

the Chairman’s Reception as we embark on DCUC’s 54th Annual Conference in

San Diego!

Sincerely,

Anthony R. “Tony” Hernandez
