Now as the nation’s premier civil rights/human relations agency, ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry in the U.S. and abroad through information, education, legislation and advocacy. Luna is President & CEO of Helios Education Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals in Arizona and Florida to achieve a postsecondary education. Paul leads the strategic direction of the organization and focuses on cultivating strong community relationships and initiating strategic partnerships in Arizona and Florida to ensure more students are prepared for success in college and career. “AL” BROOKS COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD Steven Berger, Lawyer Engelman Berger, P.C. Steven Berger is a founding shareholder of Engelman Berger with over 30 years’ experience in representing clients throughout Arizona. Steve has focused his career on resolution of complex business disputes through effective representation of clients in bankruptcy or other reorganization pro- ceedings, loan workouts, litigation and business transactions. GEORGE WEISZ ADL LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARD Daniel Johnson, Special Agent Federal Bureau of Investigation Dan Johnson investigates issues of public corruption and civil rights violations for the Phoenix division of the FBI. Dan’s investigations have focused on criminal activity at the state, county, and local levels across Arizona. HERMAN LEWKOWITZ ADL RISING LEADER AWARD Lawrence Robinson, Director Maricopa Community College District’s Center for Civic Participation Lawrence Robinson is a Phoenix Native who works to promote the concept that public education is the tool that will ultimately reinvigorate our neighborhoods and our democracy.
