We are living in a unique moment in history, when revolu onary change in all sectors is occurring at a frenzied pace. This massive scale of disrup on has understandably le some organiza ons on shaky foo ng, struggling to engage consumers and employees alike and stay relevant. Those that learn to adapt, those that allow themselves to be “rewri en” for the modern day, will survive and prosper. Those that do not will collapse. With the average tenure of a Gen Y’er being just over two years in a company, how can we strengthen ins tu onal memory by developing a sustainable employee base? How do we reduce the me, energy, and finances lost when the recrui ng cycle becomes shorter and shorter? How are students being educated about their careers, and how can we engage them once they join our companies? What does the future of work mean for the tradi onal career, and how is technology changing the way we work? Learn how to be er a ract, engage, and retain employees of all genera ons, including this highly misunderstood genera on.

The world’s most important sector, agriculture, has been innova ng since it began. This presenta on will explore some of the new innova ons, many of which are developed right here in Ontario, that are part of the next evolu on or even revolu on we will expect from the ag sector. Technologies that could conceivably disrupt or dras cally change the paradigms of how we farm are worth knowing about so that we can manage investments, adop on and understand the consequences of being leaders (or not) in this respect.

4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ‐ SPEAKER PRESENTATION ‐ Graydon Hall “Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything?” ‐ Timothy Caulfield, Professor, University of Alberta. Over the past few decades, celebrity culture’s grip on our society has ghtened. For Timothy Caulfield, a health science expert, this culture has a measurable influence on individual life choices and health‐care decisions. While acknowledging the pervasiveness of celebrity culture, Caulfield doesn’t mock those who enjoy it (in fact he loves celebrity culture.) But with a skep c’s eye and a scien fic lens, Caulfield iden fies and debunks the messages and promises that flow from the celebrity realm, whether they are about health, diet, beauty, or what is supposed to make us happy.

How will an oil and trade dependent Canadian economy tackle the challenges posed by global efforts to mi gate climate change. What is the future for the oil sands? What will a renego ated NAFTA mean for Canadian agriculture, and our rapidly fading auto and parts industry?
