SOCIAL ARTWORKING Uncork your creativity and get your creative juices flowing. In this 3 hour paint class you will learn different painting techniques and go home with a finished product. CYCLE STRETCH Join Pam Moberg for a great cardiovascular workout during this indoor cycling class. We will pedal through hill climbs, sprints, and various other challenging inter-vals and drills with upbeat motivating music to keep those pedals spinning! Then we will finish with a relax-ing cycling specific stretch. All levels welcome! AQUA PUMP Park Valley Pool is famous for its unforgettable instructors and high–energy classes. These 45minute high intensity workouts are designed for the fitness enthusiast. During our Aq-ua Pump class we offer childcare in preschool plunge for chil-dren ages 3 and up. ADULT LESSONS Adult lessons will help you get comfortable in the water and will encourage you to enjoy water activities. You will work directly with instructors to set goals and learn the fundamental skills required to increase your confi-dence in the water, and improve endurance and physi-cal fitness. Monday Nights 7-8PM Cost: $61.00 Session 1 ~ January 4-February 1 Session 2 ~ February 22-March 21 PRESCHOOL LESSONS Park Valley Pool offers the Red Cross Preschool pro-gram that consists of 8 levels for ages 3 months to 5 years. Starting at just 3 months old in Starfish babies and their caregivers work on getting wet, buoyancy and movement, front, back, and vertical positions in the water. Then we move onto Duck, Sea Turtle, Sea Otter, Salamander, Sunfish, Crocodile and Whale. Preschool-ers will gain confidence and water safety skills as they move through the levels having fun and being active. Cost: $47.00 Per Session

SWIM KIDS LESSONS Park Valley Pool offers the Red Cross Swim Kids pro-gram that consists of 10 levels for kids aged 5 and up. Help your child develop a healthy lifestyle through swimming and learning a lifelong skill. Your child will learn to swim and stay safe in a fun environment that promotes personal best and celebrates individual suc-cess. Children learn safety in and around the water while increasing their endurance and physical fitness through progressions and games with aims. Cost: $47 Levels 1-6 $61.00 Levels 7-10 BABYSITTERS COURSE Are you looking to start a career as a babysitter? The babysitters course will give you the right tools to be-come a successful babysitter. Friday February 5th 9am-3pm(PD DAY) Cost: $64.50 BEGINNER KAYAKING Have you ever wanted to learn to kayak? In this course you will learn balance, safety, and kayak control. Can-didates must be comfortable in deep water and capable of swimming 2 lengths of the pool. Kayaks are sup-plied. VOLUNTEER INCOMETAX PROGRAM March 1st-April 30th, 2016 Dedicated local volunteers are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency to complete your tax return free of charge. To be eligible you must meet the following requirements: Annual income of less than $30,000 for an individ-

ALIVE 55 PROGRAM A.L.I.V.E 55 is open to all residents of Drayton Valley, Tomahawk and Brazeau County, ages 55 and up. The program is committed to removing barriers and enabling those 55 and up to have access to existing wellness programs in Drayton Valley and area as well as providing additional programming to encourage participation, education, and to reduce isolation. Memberships are provided at no cost to the individual, however, for some program activities there may be a subsidized fee charged to cover expenses. Participants can register by going to the front desk at the Omniplex.

One simple act helps seniors stay in their homes safely, prevents injuries due to slips and falls and ensures safe access out for groceries and appointments. Volunteers can help out one time or on a consistent basis. If you, your family, group or sports team would like to assist by shoveling snow this winter or if you are a senior who would like to register for this program please Jennifer at 780-514-2206.
