• Must be a citizen of the United States at the time of application

• Must have a high school diploma or GED • Must be able to pass a swim and physical

agility test• Pass “Front National” law enforcement

examination administered by the National TestingNetwork(NTN)withavideoscoreof70orabove,aswellasreceivepassingReading and Writing scores

• Non-certifiedapplicantsmustpasstheCJBAT/FBAT (Florida Criminal Justice Basic AbilitiesTests)

• Certifiedapplicantsmusthaveanactivestatecertification

• Must be able to possess a valid Florida Driver’s License by the time of employment

• Must be of good moral character • Must have no felony convictions • Must have committed no incidents of

violence • Must not have a dishonorable discharge

from the military
