Built to take on the biggest, most demanding trails and jobs, the Pioneer 1000 can haul up to 1000 pounds* and tow a full ton. The front bench seat provides accommodations for three adults. Loaded with features and Honda innovation, it’s our go-to side-by-side when you need to carry the most, go the farthest, work the hardest, or just have the most fun.

PIONEER 1000 MODELS AND FEATURES FULLY AUTOMATIC DCT TRANSMISSION

The Pioneer 1000’s Automatic Dual Clutch Transmission features six forward speeds plus reverse and two gearing ranges (high and low). Inside, you’ll find tough, steel gears and shafts, with no belts to burn up. The Pioneer 1000 EPS/1000-5/1000-5 Deluxe also adds paddle shifting and three shift modes (Automatic, Manual and Sport). It can do all the shifting for you, but can also give you total control to shift yourself. Unlike so many other automatics, both models give you real compression braking for better control and a more connected feel in all conditions.

ENGINE AIR INTAKE

Designed to excel in off-road use, the engine’s air intake is located up high and under the hood. The new viscous air-filter element helps increase performance and also provides a longer service interval.

The bed sides also function as doors for passenger entry and cargo loading. Since the seats fold open and close in just seconds, switching configurations is fast and simple. Two passengers? The Pioneer 700 may sit right between our Pioneer 500 and Pioneer 1000 in displacement, but it’s a giant in terms of how hard it works. With a 1500-pound towing capacity, a 1000-pound bed capacity, front disc brakes, inboard-mounted rear disc brake, and independent suspension, it’s definitely at the head of its class.
