Abstract:

THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN MANAGING HALAL INDUSTRY: MALAYSIA

SPECTRUM

ABSTRACT

Malaysia's halal certification is recognized as one of the best internationally and it is a key driver

of success that contribute to the rapid development of the halal industry in Malaysia. This

achievement proves that the Malaysian government's proactive efforts to realize the objective of

making Malaysia a global halal hub a reality. Among the efforts made is to ensure that very

government agency involved in this industry ro carry out its role besides emphasizing on the

inter-agency cooperation. The purposes of this article are reviewing the roles and describeing the

efforts taken by the government agencies involved as well as discussing the challenges faced in

developing the halal industry in Malaysia. This study applies the method of literature review

through content analysis of documents and interviews conducted with the agencies involved. The

study found that the effectiveness and success of the enforcement of the halal industry in

Malaysia is highly dependent on the effectiveness and cooperation between government agencies.

The results showed that each agency have a specific role and cooperation of other related

agencies is necessary for them to carry out their respective roles successfully.

Abstract: Islam emphasizes the teaching and propagation of good morals. Morals are a central part of Islam due to the fact that the Prophets themselves were sent to propagate the perfect moral pattern. Morality or moral character (akhlak) is the base building block of the Islamic civilization. In today’s needs to improve, stabilize and enhance the moral character of individuals or insan, family and the society at large, the real concept of ‘educere’ and its landscape needs vital attention by us. In the life of insan, learning takes different forms depending on the surrounding and the situation including the process of informal learning which exceeds formal studies. Enhancing and incorporating values and skills in the process of learning are required in addressing the ever changing and challenging moral crisis within society. This paper will highlights the issues of the moral crisis in Malaysia context and how the sacredness of ‘educere’ and its map of knowledge, the true concept of learning, the process of spiritual cleansing towards seeding the moral character and a return to fitrah as insan. The authors suggesting that all elements will lead to the acceptance of real understanding of knowledge in order to mould, improve and enhance the moral character from the beginnings in today’s rampant and challenging moral crisis surrounding world life.

vocabularies. It has gap between rural and urban people of understanding the standard language. In rural area elder people do not understanding standard language clearly. So this paper is to explain the importance of dialect to communicate in rural areas by using spoken and written language as the data when the government’s officers communicate with the villagers in formal and informal situations. This research is sociolinguistics perspective related to language and power area. The observation and interviewing the villagers in rural areas of the northeast region or Isan of Thailand are the research methodology as well as the questionnaires to compare the average percentages between the three sampling groups different ages; young, middle and elder groups. The research finding was shown that the elder group understand the information contents sent by the government in three channel; meeting, broadcast tower, and document, less than the other groups as well as the ST skills. While the young group can understand the information contents more than the other groups it was related to the ST skills of them. The middle and elder groups prefer to communicate by using Isan dialect as it is their mother tongue particularly in economic and heath service topics. This finding reveals that dialect has power to communication efficiency on the another way it also be the barrier communication between the government and their people. The dialect is good medium supporter for country’s development, if the sender know how to let it work.

Abstract : The objectives of this research were to develop and analyze the mathematical model for the dynamic transmission of rabies with control measures. The SEIR model is modified from Donkoh, Kabo-Bah and Asiedu (2014) model by adding control measures; isolation and eradication. The standard method is used to analyze the stability of the model. Routh-Hurwitz criteria is used for determining the stabilities of the model. We obtained the basic reproductive numbers by using the next generation method and finding the spectral radius. It was found that there are two equilibrium points; disease free and endemic equilibrium points. The qualitative results are depended on a basic reproductive numbers. If the basic reproductive numbers is less than one, the disease free equilibrium is local asymptotically stable, meaning that the disease will died out but if the basic reproductive numbers is greater than one, the endemic equilibrium will be local asymptotically stable, meaning that the disease will persist in the community. The numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the results. In addition, we show that control measures with isolation and eradication are the

Abstract: In this paper, we proposed a mathematical model to describe the transmission of measles with seasonal effect. Mathematical model is analyzed by using standard method, the equilibrium points and stability of the equilibrium points is determined. The findings conclude that, the mathematical model for the transmission of measles with seasonal effect consisting of a system of four nonlinear differential equations. We obtained two equilibrium points, disease free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium point. If the relative humidity equal to 0.7 then the basic

reproductive number 10

Abstract: The objectives of this study were to develop and analyze the effect of educational campaign on the dynamics of chickenpox. Mathematical model is analyzed by using standard method, the equilibrium points and the stability of the equilibrium points are determined. The research results, we obtained the mathematical model of chickenpox which represented by a system of four nonlinear differential equations. The human population is divided into four compartments, susceptible, exposed, infectious and recovered. By numerical analysis we obtained the disease free equilibrium point which the basic reproductive number is 0.642857, 0.428571 and 0.214286 with the value of educational campaign at 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75, respectively. For the endemic equilibrium point, the basic reproductive number is 5.7551, 5.32653 and 4.04081 with the value educational campaign at 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75, respectively. It can conclude that if we increase the effectiveness of educational campaign then the number of chickenpox case will decrease.

5 007-ipcamme Influence of residual stress relaxation induced by shot peening on the fatigue life of aluminium alloys: A review Fareg S Ali1, Omar S Zaroog2 and Abdulwehab A. Ibrahim3

1,2University Tenaga National, department of mechanical engineering, Putrajaya, Selangor43000, Malaysia 3INTI International University, Mechanical Engineering Department, Persiaran Perdana BBN, Putra Nilai, 71800 Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

Abstract: The process of Shot peening involves improving the surface of the metallic components. In this process, the strength of the metals is increased by adding favorable compressive residual stress on the metal surfaces and improving the resistance to the stress corrosion cracks that could occur in the metal objects. However, the peening process can increase the fatigue life owing to the higher roughness of the surfaces and the residual tensile strength if this process is carried out improperly. The efficiency of the shot peening process does not depend on the applied compressive residual stress and the surface hardening but depends on the intensity and the coverage of the shot. The major advantage of using the shot peening process is that the fatigue life of several of the mechanical components can be considerably increased, especially those that have to undergo constant stress. This process is widely used in the industry, mainly in the manufacturing sector, where it is used for producing rockers, helical springs, aircraft parts, torsion bars, welded joints, transmission shafts, etc.

Abstract: Social media channels admirable route for promotion close relationships with customers. One specific way to do this is to create brand Fanpages on social networking sites. Companies can publish brand posts (containing images, texts, videos, information, and other contents) on their brand Fanpages. Consumers can become fans of these brand Fanpages, and consequently signpost that they like the brand post or share the brand information or comment on it. Such commenting, liking or sharing on brand posts enhances Fanpage PTA (People Talking About) metrics, in support of increasing users’ viral actions. And these viral activities of users foster the Fanpage popularity. In this article, we determine possible drivers for PTA metrics and users’ viral actions. We analyse 1834 brand posts from 13 international Electronics brands and data was collected from December, 2014 to August, 2015. The findings indicate that different drivers influence the number of comments, likes and the number of shares in different way. Our research shows that not all elements which are valuable for improving the number of likes do also have an effect on increasing the number of comments, shares and vice versa. In the study we collected information on all types of brand posts and picked the most frequently posted items (Contents) to determine their impact on generating user engagement. Managers of brands that operate brand Fanpages can be guided by our study result with regards to determining which content to publish at brand posts according to their requirements.

Abstract: The 2012 White Paper on Information and Communications in Japan issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan advocates use of big data under its “Special Theme: ICT-induced and accelerated Disaster Recovery and Japan’s Re-birth.” However, the analysis in the Japan Users Association of Information Systems’ white paper on its 2014 IT trend survey for companies reports that less than 10% of companies utilize big data, and it would appear that progress in its use is centered on large firms. Under such conditions, use of big data is becoming a challenge for the purpose of ensuring the survival and success of SMEs as well. As a result, R&D and technological support for SMEs are becoming pressing issues. However, at present there has been almost no academic research concerning policies and future directions for use of big data at SMEs. Accordingly, this study is intended to consider and design a framework for a system for visualization of big data suited to SMEs and empirically elucidate the ideal form of a strategic information infrastructure for SMEs and challenges in its operation and administration. This paper is based on study of open-source tools for visualization of big data, investigation of their characteristics as tools suited to SMEs, and consideration of their properties.
