EZ-FLO Fertigation

Traditional fertilization is a water intensive process. EZ-FLO Systems eliminate the intensive use of water by continually administering very small amounts of products through irrigation systems, a process known as fertigation. The plants receive micro doses of nutrients and supplements increasing both the effectiveness of the water and enhancing nutrient absorption. The EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions are specially formulated to achieve a sustainable landscape solution while delivering premium results with lower product application rates than traditional methods. As an integral part of a landscape management program, EZ-FLO provides the ability to be sustainable without sacrificing results or increasing costs.

Water Conservation

EZ-FLO Systems and EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions are a key element for implementing a sound water conservation program. Water quality is continually diminishing and new sources of irrigation water can have toxic levels of salt and problematic bicarbonates. Poor water quality harms plants and soils while reducing the effectiveness of the irrigation system often resulting in increased water application. The EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions treat the water through the addition of unique products that keep drip and spray systems clean and trouble free. EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions also correct soil

issues resulting in healthier root systems, healthier plants, and improved water penetration. This reduces water requirements by as much as 50%.

Choosing the right system and components

To determine the correct EZ-FLO system for your application you will need to know the following:

1. The approximate size of the irrigated area or the number of irrigation zones2. The approximate landscape mix of turf to shrubs and beds3. The size of the irrigation main line4. Is the irrigation system protected by a backflow preventer

Choosing the correct tank size

1. In table 1 below refer to the 4-6 week coverage columns to determine the tank model2. The tank capacity required is based on the number of zones or size of the irrigated area3. Zone sizing is based on 3/4” or 1” zones

Additionally, EZ-FLO has a wide range of adjustability and does the proportional mixing of fully concentrated products, there is no need to pre-dilute products before they are put in the EZ-FLO systems.

2. Connect the flexible tubing to the tank cap and the EZ-FLO connector3. Fill the tank with the recommended amount of products4. Top off with water5. Set the injection rate6. Refill in 4 to 6 weeks depending on desired results

1. Turn off both shut off valves, disconnect the tubing from the cap by pulling the tubing from the valves and remove the tank cap

2. Pour water out of the tank 3. Pour the recommended amount of liquid or water soluble fertilizer into the tank -

premixing is not required4. Fill the tank the rest of the way with water, screw tank cap onto the unit, attach

the flexible tubing and open the shutoff valves5. Set the cap injection rate to slow (slow is the most common setting - for additional

information on settings see page 12)6. Refill in 4 to 6 weeks depending on desired results

Winterizing

If you are in a climate with freezing conditions, drain all liquid from the system priorto freezing temperatures. Do not leave connected to the a sprinkler system if youblow out the irrigation.
