The most successfulhead coach in Cal Polysoftball program his-

tory, three-time Big WestConference Coach of theYear selection Jenny Condonenters her 12th season in2016. Having directed CalPoly to Big West titles andNCAA Tournament appear-ances in 2007 and 2009,Condon's 287 career victoriesat Cal Poly rank as the 10thhighest total by a Big Westhead coach and the secondhighest total by any Mustangcoach in any sport in schoolhistory. Condon's 121 confer-ence victories rank 12th in BigWest history. The Big West's representa-tive to the NFCA Division IHead Coaches Committee,Condon requires just 13 morevictories during the 2016 sea-son to become only the ninthhead coach in Big West his-tory with 300 career wins.Under Condon, Cal Poly hasfinished in the top half of theBig West standings seventimes. Individually, Condon hashelped produce 43 All-BigWest selections at Cal Poly, seven Big West Player of theYear honorees, eight NFCAAll-West Region selectionsand one All-America selection.

Under Condon, the Mus-tangs have also excelled inthe classroom. During Con-don’s 11 seasons, Cal Polyplayers have earned 36 BigWest All-Academic Team se-lections – an average of 3.3Mustangs per season and thehighest figure of any Cal Polyprogram. Condon's programs havebeen especially adept in de-fending Bob Janssen Field, having compiled 112 homevictories. Included in that fig-ure is a program-record 19-game home winning streakfrom May 9, 2008 to May 2,2009. The 2014 season provedto be another banner year forthe Mustangs with the pro-gram finishing 33-19 overalland one game short of cap-turing the Big West title andthe conference's automaticNCAA Tournament invitation.Highlighted by Sierra Hy-land's selection as Big WestPitcher of the Year and Fresh-man Pitcher of the Year, seven Mustangs earned all-conference praise. The 2009 season was thefinest effort in Cal Poly's 21-year Division I tenure as theMustangs established single-season program records foroverall winning percentage(.774), conference winningpercentage (.857), conferencevictories (18), fewest confer-ence defeats (three) andfewest overall defeats (12) enroute to capturing a secondBig West title and a berth in

the NCAA Tournament. TheMustangs, who also madeprogram history by rising ashigh as No. 21 in the USAToday/NFCA poll, producedtheir first NCAA Tournamentvictories at the Division I leveland reached the champi-onship round of the Stanfordregional. Behind Anna Cahn'sBig West Pitcher of the Yearhonor, a program-record nineMustangs garnered all-confer-ence praise. Prior to the 2009 campaign,Cal Poly's 2007 seasonranked as the most-notableyear in program history. Asidefrom capturing the program'sfirst Big West title and secur-ing its first NCAA Tournamentberth at the Division I level,Cal Poly established then-sin-gle-season records for totalvictories (39) and overall(.696) and conference (.778)winning percentage. Afterdealing defeats to No. 12Washington, No. 6 Northwest-ern and No. 9 Stanford, CalPoly opened Big West playwith eight-straight victories. The Mustangs, who led theconference race wire-to-wire,closed the regular season bywinning five of their final sixgames and a 3-2 victoryagainst Pacific on May 11 notonly secured the Big Westcrown, but also provided Con-don her 100th career victory.Headlined by Big West Playerof the Year selection LisaModglin – who also doubledas Cal Poly's first NFCA All-America pick in nine years –

Cal Poly placed eight Mus-tangs on the 2007 all-confer-ence team. A standout player in thecollegiate and internationalarenas, Condon's influence atCal Poly was felt instantly asher inaugural 2005 squadposted a 35-16 mark. TheMustangs went 15-6 in BigWest play and the second-place finish was, at the time, the best showing in programhistory. Cal Poly's 27-23record in 2006 was backed byan 11-7 Big West mark thatguaranteed a third-place fin-ish. The record solidified theprogram's first back-to-backwinning campaigns since the1996 (23-19) and 1997 (37-17) seasons. Condon began her coach-ing career at UNLV in 1994,assisting the Rebels to athird-place finish at the 1995WCWS. She relocated toNorthwestern in 1997 beforebeginning a two-year stintwith Oregon State in 1998.The following season, theBeavers recorded a school-record 47 wins and advancedto the NCAA Tournament forthe first time in program his-tory.
