Dear Friends,

Community remains at the core of what we do at MPAC.

It is our delight to bring the world’s greatest entertainers to Morristown. This year is no exception. The 2016-2017 season is a mix of return-ing favorites and exciting new events. We welcome back the likes of Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, The Doobie Brothers and Kristin Che-noweth, our special encore opening night performer. New events and artists include Gavin DeGraw, the touring productions of Annie and Once, Alan Cumming and Riverdance.

Among the events we are excited about is a presentation by Captain Scott Kelly, who will talk about his year in space. Captain Kelly’s visit to MPAC will not only include an evening lecture, but two student lectures -- a unique opportunity for children to connect with a true American hero.

We are thrilled to bring these types of enriching experiences to our community. One of the most eagerly-anticipated new initiatives we launch this year is a series of sensory-friendly performances. We continue to strive to make per-forming arts experiences welcoming to all children including those on the autism-spectrum and with special needs. Our Education Department will be undergoing training to better serve these children and engage them in theatre arts.

Our education and outreach efforts remain central to our mis-sion. This past year, over 40,000 children were touched by MPAC events, many exposed to the arts for the first time, such as in our “PAS on the Road” program in Paterson. As Kelly Dailey of Charles J. Riley School #9 said, “The students of Paterson have minimal exposure to arts programs, so MPAC’s program is vital. It’s been amazing to see how their confidence and interest has grown in such a short time.”

Last year, MPAC students had the chance to perform at The White House, on stage with leading performers, and at senior residences, non-profit fund-raisers and over three dozen other goodwill community events.

We continue to make strides to improve parking options, and provide ser-vices that today’s audiences expect. Exciting additions include free summer movies, free concerts and more. Everyone at MPAC is dedicated to serving our community, and to welcoming you, your family and friends at our world class entertainment venue so close to home.

We look forward to seeing you here often this season!

Sincerely,

Allison Larena, President & CEO
