The winners, who were randomly drawn from a pool of ratepayers who paid their 2016-17 rates in full before 14 September, each had the opportunity to choose a mystery prize package ranging in value from $1,300 to $5,000 from the total prize of $20,000. Winning the $5,000 Bendigo Bank major prize – which included a $2,500 overseas holiday, $1,500 spending money, and a $1,000 Bendigo Bank cash account – was Anthony Aristei of Aristei Enterprises Pty Ltd. Attending the event on his behalf was his brother Marco who made the lucky pick.
