What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

• Two-factor authentication helps to solve the problem of stolen usernames and passwords being used to abuse information resources.

• Your NetId and password are required, but are no longer enough to gain access to a 2FA protected system.

• Unless otherwise specified, users will only be prompted for the Duo second factor when logging in from a non-Emory University or Healthcare network, such as their home, a coffee shop, another University, etc.

• EZProxy – De-scoped on 6/8/16 • June 15th – Duo Test Group for O365 Enabled • Mid-July – Begin O365 General Enrollment Drive o Enrollment via Self-Service Portal o Enrollment Emails will come from Emory rather

than Duo o Users will get prompted for Duo with O365

after they enroll o Completion Target Date is 10/10/16
