2015/2016 City of Ipswich Sports Awards photo competition

This year’s City of Ipswich Sports Awards will be a great night of celebrating our home grown talent and people who give so much to sport in Ipswich. This year we want you to share your experience at the awards night by participating in a photo competition.

To enter simply upload your photos to the Sport Ipswich Facebook page using the competition hashtag: #ipswichsportsawards and ensure the post is set to public so we can view them.

We will have some sporting props available on the night if you would like to jazz up your photos

The winner of the photo competition will be awarded a $100 voucher to Ipswich Hogs Breath.

Terms and conditions

Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter the 2015/2016 City of Ipswich Sports Awards photo competition, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

General

1. The 2015/2016 City of Ipswich Sports Awards photo competition terms is conducted by the Ipswich City Council, 143 Brisbane St, Ipswich Queensland 4305.

2. The competition commences at 5.00pm 18 November 2016 and closes 11.59pm on 18 November 2016. Ipswich City Council reserves the right to amend the competition dates at any time.

3. Entry is open to all award ceremony attendees. 4. By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional

activity and material as Ipswich City Council may require. 5. If you have any questions regarding the competition or would like to confirm your

entry in the competition please email sportrecreation@ipswich.qld.gov.au 6. By entering the competition you agree to Ipswich City Council and its employees

using, publishing or reproducing the Images in any form (in whole or in part) and by any medium, including but not limited to newspapers, magazines, brochures, television advertisements, websites, CD-ROM, social media or other multi-media, for public relations, promotions, commercial and advertising purposes

7. We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.

How to enter

Entrants may enter this competition by:

a) Snap: Take a picture of your City of Ipswich Sports Awards experience.

b) Send: Upload to the Sport Ipswich Facebook page using the #ipswichsportsawards hashtag.

c) Share: All eligible entries that meet the terms and conditions of entry will appear on the Sport Ipswich Facebook page and may be published in other Ipswich City Council publications

1. An individual must have their post set to public to enable their entry to be viewed. 2. Filters may be applied and photo editing software may be used on images submitted

as long as the work is original to the individual. 3. Ipswich City Council reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any

individual who tampers with the entry process.

Photo submission guidelines

1. Photos that are copyrighted cannot be submitted unless you have permission from the photographer/owner. Photos cannot be returned. By entering the competition entrants agree and understand that their written entries and/or photos may be used for promotional purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant and/or owner of the photograph.

2. Each entrant warrants that the photograph is a genuine and accurate representation and that the photo has been taken at the 2015/2016 City of Ipswich Sports Awards ceremony. Ipswich City Council reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for submitting an entry which, in the opinion of Ipswich City Council, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. All photographs will be reviewed by Ipswich City Council.

Copyright

1. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of Ipswich City Council who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received.

2. The winner (and their companions) agrees to granting Ipswich City Council a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

Categories of winners and judging

1. All eligible entries will be judged on originality, positive representation of the 2015/2016 City of Ipswich Sports Awards, and creative merit.

2. Judging will take place on 18 November 2016. 3. The judge for this competition will be Michael Slater. The judges’ decision will be

final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 4. The winner will be announced at the ceremony

Number of entries permitted

1. Multiple unique entries to this competition are permitted provided that each entry complies with these Terms and Conditions.

Prizes

1. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize. 2. The prize will be available for collection after the winner has been announced. 3. If the advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative

prize of equal or greater value.
