HP Service Qualifications: Requirements and Supporting Training Guide

Restrictions

Each technician performing warranty and Care Pack service events must first earn the associated Service Qualification. Service Qualifications align to partner enabled products for warranty and Care Pack support.

This guide is intended to provide a high-level overview of the courses, exams and supporting training aligned to Service Qualifications. Please review the additional information on the Service Qualification pages on The Learning Center for details, registration and upgrade paths, when available. This guide primarily focuses on the current offerings and requirements for new candidates. Use the links provided in the following pages to access the Service Qualifications on The Learning Center.

Service Qualifications access is limited to authorized HP service providers. An HP Learner ID associated with an active Location ID is required for all users. And HP certifications are available to anyone with an HP Learner ID.

ServiceOne Registrations Steps

1- For ServiceOne technical training course registration go to https://h10120.www1.hp.com/expertone/partner_training_calendar.html

* On the left hand side of the screen, under “Region”, select your region .* On the left hand side of the screen, under “Training Mode”, select the mode (usually Virtual class).3-On the left hand side of the screen, under “Course Type”, select “ServiceOne”

4-On the left hand side of the screen, under “Technologies”, select the correct technology. All ServiceOne classes are listed under “Services.”

5-Find the course you want to take in the list which is on the right hand side of the screen. 6-Click on the “Register” link in the last column of the course you want to take.

* The “Register” link takes you to the ServiceOne Technical Training registration site for this offering.

7-Fill in the registration form for the course. Please complete all required details. Check the attached word document for further information. The learner and the billing contact that you enter will receive a copy of this pre-registration. Be sure to take note of the Terms and Conditions on the 8-Once HP validates your ServiceOne status, pre-requisites and method of payment, HP will enroll you in The Learning Center. 2- On the My Enrollments screen, click Drop for the course you want to cancel.

3-On the Drop Offering screen, click Drop to finalize the cancelation.

Each region stores the ServiceOne qualification guide on the HP Partner Portal.

The qualification guide has direct links into The Learning Center to register for courses. Some courses are open to all partners (usually WBTs) and some are restricted to ServiceOne partners (usually vILTs, ILTs, and virtual labs). When the course is a ServiceOne restricted course, The Learning Center will show the class as full because registrations for ServiceOne restricted courses are accessed through the Partner Training Calendar as described in the first part of this slide deck.

The next few slides explain how this “full” status shows up in The Learning Center so that you will know when you can register through The Learning Center and when you must go to the Partner Training Calendar.

Once you’ve opened the qualification guide and found the qualification that you are interested in, click the deep link in column G. This takes you directly to The Learning Center. You will log in with your HP Passport. Next, you are taken to the credential that you are interested in. Below is the screen you would see if you are interested in the StoreServ 7000:
