About the Camp

The Youth Leadership Summer Camp is a com-

munity funded, four-week day camp that

encourages and enhances character building,

educational achievement, civic responsibility

and career exploration for the purpose of

developing leadership in youth.

The goal of the camp is to instill in children

the life skills they’ll need to become responsi-

ble successful adults. This means the camp

has a curriculum based on academic reinforce-

ment, character education and health and

wellness.

Campers’ academic growth will be measured

throughout the camp and customized tutoring

plans will be created by certified teachers.

Parent involvement is strongly encouraged and

YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMER CAMP 2015

Forms Required When Registering for Camp

In order for a child to attend camp free of charge, the child’s parent or guardian MUST bring ALL of the following documents:

Must meet Federal Poverty Income Guidelines

State-Issued Picture ID (must be valid with current address)

Social Security Cards and birth dates for eve-ryone in the home

Proof of income for anyone in the home 18 years of age and older for the past 30 days

For those with “0” income, a Benefits Histo-ry statement from SC Works (this is required for everyone 18 years of age and older in the household who is unemployed)

Benefits received monthly from Social Securi-ty, SSI, TANF, Utility Check or any other agen-cy must be verified by a 2015 award letter.

Applicants MUST have ALL of these docu-ments in order to complete the application process.

Child from an income-eligible family

FREE

Child not from an income-eligible family (will not be registered before May 22nd)

$25 per child
