All Ozaukee County 4-H youth currently in grades 3-8 are invited to join us for a fantastic summer adventure from June 20-23, 2015.

Youth in grades 3-6 will sleep in cabins at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center in Wisconsin Dells. Youth in grades 7-8 will camp in tents at Devil’s Lake State park in Baraboo. 4-H Camp is extremely AFFORDABLE! The Ozaukee County 4-H Leaders Association covers $5500 of the camp costs. The final cost of the four-day camp is $60 per youth. Each family is asked to pay $100 per camper when they register for camp. Upon successful completion of the camp experience, families are reimbursed $40 per camper by the Ozaukee 4-H Foundation.

In a comparison with camps from other Ozaukee youth service organizations, the value of 4-H camp is incomparable.

Pinewood Derby Time! Photography Contest

Aerodynamics, friction, gravity, potential and kinetic energy...what are the secrets to building a fast Pinewood Derby Car?

Take advantage of a "Science By Inquiry" program to make your car fast on Saturday, April 25th. Arrive at the Pavilion South any time between 9 am and 10 am and plan to stay about 1-2 hours. Bring your car with the wood part completed, along with your wheels and axels (nails) in their original condition. You'll have the opportunity to race your car on the derby track while making improvements to it. There will be stations where you can use trial and error to find the best placement for additional weight, reduce the friction on axels and wheels, and experiment with lubricants. We'll have tools, drills, scales, etc. there for you to perfect your wheels, axels, and weight.

Please register online by April 20th for this free event at http://goo.gl/forms/a6zNQ1xV21.

Consider joining the leadership team to preserve this highly lucrative fundraiser.
