Liberty Baseball Stadium - Ranked as One of the Best Stadium Experiences• Liberty is 15-6 at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this season.• Liberty set a new single-game stadium attendance record, drawing 3,983 for its contest with Campbell on April 10.• The Liberty Baseball Stadium was ranked as one of the Top 100 stadium experiences of 2014 by Stadium Journey. The home of the Liberty baseball program was listed No. 52. Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, topped the list.• Opened two years ago, Stadium Journey ranked the Liberty Baseball Stadium No. 4 among collegiate baseball stadiums on the list.• Stadium Journey’s ratings took into account the food and beverage served in the stadium, the overall atmosphere, the neighborhood where the stadium is located, the fans, access (which includes traffi c, parking, ability to move around and rest rooms), the overall return on investment and one fi nal “extras” category.• After 34 years of playing at Worthington Stadium, the Flames christened the new facility, with a three-game sweep of Penn State, Feb. 23-24, 2013.• The Flames averaged 1,299 fans per game during its three seasons at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

Cole Named Big South Pitcher of the Week for April 12• For the second time this season, junior left-hander Victor Cole was namedthe Big South Pitcher of the Week, Monday. Cole earned the weekly awardfor the games played the week of April 6-12.• The Memphis, Tenn., native was also named the Big South Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 23-March 1.• On April 11, Cole did not allow a run, scattering fi ve hits over eight innings in a 7-0 victory against Campbell, combining with teammate Caleb Evans, who pitched the ninth, to shut out the Camels for the fi rst time this season. The victory halted a three-game Liberty losing streak.• The left-hander pitched into the eighth inning in his following outing.He gave up two unearned runs on fi ve hits over 7 1/3 plus innings in a7-4 win over Longwood, last Friday. With the win, Cole has won each of his last four starts to run his record to 5-1.• Cole enters the weekend with a 2.11 ERA over 64 innings pitched.• Currently, he is third in ERA (2.11), sixth in innings pitched (64.0) and second in opponent batting (.204) in the Big South Conference.

Clowers Among the Nation’s Victory Leaders • Senior left-hander Shawn Clowers enters the week tied for third in the nation in victories with eight. He leads the Big South in wins. • Clowers has posted a 8-3 record and a save with a 3.33 ERA over 54 innings. He is tied for the Flames lead with 14 appearances, fi ve of which were starts. • In his second start of the season on April 2, Clowers allowed one run over 7 1/3 innings, the longest outing of his career. • From May 14, 2013 through March 21, 2015, Clowers made 32 consecutive appearances without a loss. The left-hander posted a 14-0 record with a 1.38 ERA over 78 innings during the span. • In 2014, Clowers was one of 36 semifi nalists for the Gregg Olson “ Breakout” Player of the Year, after posting a 0.83 ERA, a Liberty single-season record. • The left-hander fi nished 2014 with a 9-0 record over 54 1/3 innings, making a team-high 23 appearances. • Clowers set career highs for wins, ERA, innings pitched, appearances and strikeouts in 2014. • Clowers made more appearances in 2014 than his fi rst two years at Liberty (20 total in 2012 and 2013).
