To all whom this may concern:

In 2012, a nonprofit educational organization, the Japan Association of Universities for Intellectual Property Education and Research (JAUIP), has held a first summer English seminar for IP studies in Japan This seminar was intended for students from AsiaEnglish seminar for IP studies in Japan. This seminar was intended for students from Asia who were interested in studying intellectual property in English.

This year, the JAUIP plans to organize the fourth summer seminar for the period from August 24 through September 2, 2015 in downtown Tokyo. The JAUIP seminar this year will be consisted of two different courses namely the student course and the practitionerwill be consisted of two different courses, namely, the student course and the practitioner course. Both courses will provide you with lectures and group works to learn not only theories but also practice. Course programs are shown below for your information. They are provisional and subject to change without notice.

A special note is for the student’s course which includes lectures supported by such institutions as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Intellectual Property Association of Japan (IPAJ) and the Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA).Association (JIPA).

The seminar includes, as a closing event, a visit to and a tour of the Japan Patent Office and the Intellectual Property High Court. The JAUIP welcome your participation to the seminar.
