With this message, you are being recruited to make your retreat with one of the ISI directors in the Practicum for Directing the Eight-Day Retreat. They are spiritual directors certified through the ISI who are already experienced in the art of spiritual direction. They will be mentored and supervised by ISI personnel in directing this particular type of retreat. ** Make sure you notify us first, and then tell the Retreat House you want one of our directors.

WHY MAKE THIS RETREAT?Stepping outside the noise and busyness of your life into the silence of an eight-day retreat is a wonderful way to touch base with your inner self, and your inner life with God. It can be a grounding experience for the whole year ahead. Many people make such a retreat every year, and it is something very highly recommended. This is especially important for those who practice spiritual direction regularly.

You can make such a retreat in many places, and indeed the Jesuit Retreat House offers other dates for the retreat this summer. However, if you come to this retreat on these particular dates (July 13-20), you will be helping the new ISI Practicum in Directing the Eight-day Retreat designed for ISI grads.
