Wild Horse Island State ParkThe largest island in Flathead Lake, Wild Horse is a landmark rich with history. Going-to-the-Sun RoadA scenic landmark crossing Glacier National Park between West Glacier and St. Mary. The 50-mile paved road was built in the 1930’s and is considered a National Landmark. The road is narrow, steep and winding with pullouts for viewing. Travelers should plan to spend 2-3 hours to complete the distance. Inquire at Park entrance stations regarding construction delays and vehicle size restrictions.

National Bison Range18,500-acre national wildlife refuge. Home to buffalo, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, bighorn sheep and pronghorn sheep. 19-mile scenic drive offers visitors best opportunity to view wildlife. Visitor center and picnic area. Stumptown HistoricalSociety MuseumHoused in the historic Great Northern Railway Depot, the museum includes many railroad artifacts as well as community memorabilia and photographs.
