She has had a varied career in the field of social work to include: program director of Olympic Mental Health in Everett, Washington, director of operations of Arkansas CARES with UAMS Department of Psychiatry, manager of Mid-Arkansas Substance Abuse Services and social work supervisor for Inpatient Medicine and education coordinator for social work service at CAVHS. In her current position as social work supervisor she serves vet- erans with medical illnesses, she also supervises a team of inpatient medicine social workers who offer services for our countrys veterans. As education coordinator for social work service at CAVHS, she chairs the education committee, coordinates the quarterly social work educa- tion meetings and manages the Masters Level Social Work Internship Program. Carol Holiman, LCSW received her masters of Social Work in 1981 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She started her social work career as a social work intern at CAVHS from 1980-1981 and was hired on per- manently in 1984. Carol has had a productive and ful- filling 30 year career at CAVHS with experience in long- term psychiatry unit, acute psychiatry unit, oncology, geriatric rehab, geriatric outpatient clinic, acting coordi- nator of CAVHS adult day healthcare and now inpatient medicine. She has also been a social work field instructor to 20 social work interns during her career. Tresa Hooks, OSW-C, ACHP-SW has worked at CAVHS for 20 years. She is a palliative care social work- er and CAVHS bereavement coordinator. Tresa serves as the psychosocial representative for the CAVHS hospital cancer committee. She is a trainer for VA End of Life Nursing Education Consortium. She has certifications in oncology, end of life, hospice and palliative care. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Comfort Level: Although every effor t is made to have a comfortable temperature in the meeting room, we realize that everyone’s comfort level is different. Please bring a jacket in case the room is too cool for your comfort.

CONTINUING EDUCATION All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance for clock hours.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY If cancellations are received in writing after October 30, 2015, 50% of the registration fee is refundable. Registrants who cancel the day of the program or fail to attend, must pay the entire fee. Registrants unable to attend may send an alternate. If the alternate is not a member, the non-member registration fee will be re-quired.
