2015 MOUNTAIN SADDLES

A lifetime of experience and success, acquired in over more than

75 years, makes San Marco the undisputed symbol of Italian

handmade saddles. We have always used innovative technology,

ground-breaking design and handmade manufacturing techniques

resulting in what we believe to be the perfect saddles. This philoso-

phy continues to characterise our saddles today, making them

unique throughout the world. An Italian family with a history of

dedication and passion has built a brand that today is synonymous

with excellence and the highest quality products available. Since

1935 this passion to make the very best saddles in the world, and

the commitment to the constant pursuit of innovation, has been

captured by the DIRTY project. We have delivered the first line of

saddles ever to be conceived and designed exclusively for the most

advanced disciplines of our sport. Enduro, All Mountain, Downhill,

Dirt and Slopestyle riders now have a full range of saddles dedica-

ted to their specific type of riding. The attention to detail that goes

into every single model is what makes DIRTY saddles so unique.

We guarantee the excellence of our products through the love and

care that goes into our handmade processes, backing this up with

the highest standard of quality control. However, it’s not only the

finer details that make our saddles standout from the competition.

We assure quality and performance with painstaking laboratory

and field testing. Every product is pushed to the limit and ridden by

the DIRTY product testers who ride every saddle over thousands of

km. The Feedback from our Pro riders before the products hit the

market is also vital. This high level of testing and continuous R&D

means DIRTY have state-of-the-art patents, such as our revolutio-

nary NoShuffle. Our designers have carried out detailed studies of

the anatomy of cyclists to improve comfort and performance. For

the first time ever this means that the end of the saddle can be used

completely as a support surface without rubbing on the adductor

muscles on the inside of the thigh.Technological innovation and

continuous research into materials are a priority to ensure we conti-

nue to create high performance products in the same way San

Marco have done for decades. We draw on our wealth of experien-

ce acquired over the years to select and develop market leading

components and materials. The result is a perfect blend of quality,

comfort and performance. At DIRTY we haven’t stopped doing

what’s been going on at San Marco since 1935. We’re excited that

we can bring this rich heritage to whole new generation of riders

and combine a wealth of experience with ground breaking techno-

logical innovation.

5. NoShuffle: «A true revolution. The inclination of the nose edge means 85% of friction on the leg adductor muscles has been reduced giving improved comfort when riding.»

1. BioFoam: «A challenge: managing to obtain better comfort in the saddles with gel inserts, lower weight and lasting greater resistance. The “closed cell” surface assures the water repellency of the padding.»

2. MicroFeel: «The cover material is breathable and hard wearing. It also offers better adherence to the padding, capitalising on the ergonomic shape of the saddle. The materials are lighter than traditional com-pounds and the surface creates an anti-skid effect with extraordinary grip.»

3. UltraDrive: «Dedicated supports have been integra-ted into the cover material and continued into areas of highest wear. This not only protects the saddle, but also increases the performance during high-endurance pedaling.»

4. AntiScratch Zone: «Durable patches of material protect the corners and sides of the saddle from rips and tears.»

«Multilayer carbon rail with internal aluminium streng-thening. This makes it extremely strong at critical attachment points. The unique construction of the carbon rail underlines DIRTY’s quest for attention to detail and perfection in product development.»

«Lighter and stronger than titanium, Xsilite started life as a research material used in Pro riders’ saddles. It has a high percentage of silicon combined with parti-cles of titanium and carbon. The result is a material with high static toughness, as strong as titanium but lighter.»

«A new material made available to DIRTY riders – Manganese Cr+Mo. This improves the durability of the rails by increasing resistance to wear and tear caused by shocks from the trail.»

Native is the first 100% Enduro saddle ever made, a true revolution. It offers the comfort of a cross-country saddle combined with the dimensions, shape and strength of a downhill saddle. Native is a synthesis of the most advanced technologies and engineering which produces a saddle that performs and rides as great as it looks.

Zero is the most versatile 2014 Dirty saddle. We’ve developed it with Cedric Gracia, specifically for the Downhill WorldCup tracks. It fits the most demanding Dh Riders’ needs perfectly. Zero set a new record for weight in the Pro version and its strength allows you, and Cedric, to abuse it both in your backyard and the Utah Rampage.
