Third Year - Florida State ‘97

Coaching ResumeFlorida State - (Grad Assis-tant) - 1997-1999South Carolina - (Assistant) 1999-2005 Indian River State College (Head Coach) - 2005-2010Auburn - (Associate Head Coach)- 2010-2013Florida State - Head Coach 2013-present

Transformation takes time and patience and after his second year at the helm of the Florida State swimming and diving team, Frank Bradley continued to steer the team towards success. In 2015, Bradley helped the women's team to a 24th place finish at the NCAA Championships, which was the best showing at the meet since 2007. He helped Chelsea Britt to a pair of All-American finishes in the fly events, becoming the seventh Seminole in history to garner All-American individual honors at the same NCAA's. Bradley helped Kaitlyn Dressel connect with FSU history in her final season in the Garnet and Gold by setting a new school record in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.13. Dressel captured an All-America honorable mention in the 100 free following her trio of medal winning perfor-mances at the ACC Championships where she became the first Seminole to make the podium in the 50, 100 and 200 free races.

The men's team was highlighted by the success of Connor Knight, who won his first individual ACC title in the 200 fly in FSU and ACC record setting time of 1:41.66. Knight would go on to place ninth in the 200 and 16th in the 100 fly races at the NCAA Championships.

His first season at the helm proved to be a suc-cess, with the women's team setting 16 out of a possible 22 new school records, while the men's squad placed 14th at the NCAA Championships - it's best finish as a program since 1999. In addition, Bradley helped a total of 14 swim-mers to the 2014 NCAA Championships.

Bradley coached Pavel Sankovich to the ACC Swimmer of the Year honors after he finished his career with eight ACC titles, four confer-ence records, four All-America honors including a runner-up finish in the 100 fly in 2014. After graduation, Sankovich continued training with hopes of a third Olympic bid and has recently solidified himself as one of the fastest swim-mers in the world. in April of 2015, Sankovich posted the third fastest time in the world in the 100m fly with a 51.57.

Prior to his hiring at FSU, Bradley was the as-sociate head coach at Auburn University for four seasons where he primarily instructed the distance and individual medley group.

In 2013, Bradley coached junior Zane Grothe to an SEC title in the 1650 free- the Tigers' second-ever mile champion in school history. Under Bradley's instruction, Grothe has set new Auburn records in the 500,1000 and 1650 free events during his freshman year and has lowered each mark since.

Bradley helped Auburn finish among the Top 15 nationally over the last three years. The men's team placed sixth in both 2011 and 2012 before taking eighth at the NCAA Championships, while the women's squad finished seventh in 2011, eighth in 2012 and 13th in 2013.

Auburn won the SEC men's championship in 2011 and 2012 and totaled 181 All-American honors during his three seasons.

Prior to joining the Auburn staff in 2010, Bradley spent five years coaching at Indian River State College, four of which he served as head coach. During his time at the helm of the NJCAA powerhouse, Bradley's student-athletes turned in 177 NJCAA national titles, 45 NJCAA national records and 53 school records, while 13 ath-letes garnered Swimmer of the Year accolades. In 2010, Bradley guided the men's team to their 36th straight national title while the women captured their 29th consecutive championship.

While at IRSC, Bradley worked with former Seminole All-American in Mateo De Angulo. De Angulo is the current FSU record holder in the 1000 free and 1650 free and was the 2012 ACC Swimmer of the Year. The Cali, Colombia native still owns the 500 free NJCAA national record in the 500 free, a mark which was earned while under the instruction of Bradley. De Angulo moved on to collect nine NJCAA national titles before transferring to FSU.

In just five years, Bradley was named the NJCAA Coach of the Year four times (Men- 2007, 2008; Women- 2009, 2010).

Bradley started out as an assistant at the University of South Carolina during 1999-2005. While with the Gamecocks, Bradley worked with 2000 SEC Swimmer of the Year - Zsolt Gaspar in addition to guiding the Gamecocks to 26- All-American honors, 34 school records and three SEC individual titles.

Throughout his coaching career, Bradley has instructed several Olympians including Gideon Louw (RSA), Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace(BAH), Micah Lawrence (USA) as well as De Angulo (COL).

Bradley returns to his alma mater after a 13-year absence from Tallahassee. While a Seminole, Bradley earned his Bachelor's Degree in social science in 1997 before serving as a graduate assistant for the team from 1997-1999. During his swimming career, Bradley was the 1995 ACC Cham-pion in the 200 IM.

A native of Woodbury, N.J., Bradley has two daughters - Grace and Paige.

Katie GardockiAssistant Coach

Third Year - Auburn ‘13

Katie Gardocki enters her third season as an assistant coach for the FSU swimming and diving teams. An all-around coach, Gardocki mainly helps coaching the distance group while heading up the women’s team recruiting.

A standout distance swimmer and four-time NCAA qualifier for Auburn from 2009-2013, Gardocki spent three of those seasons under the instruction of current FSU head coach Frank Bradley.

During her career, she was a five-time All-American and 2012 U.S. Olympic Trial qualifier and produced her best times at the 2013 SEC

Championships, placing sixth in the 1650 with a time of 16:01.86 after taking 10th in the 500 free with a mark of 4:38.75.

Following her graduation in December of 2013, Gardocki joined the FSU staff in January, just in time for championship season. As one of Bradley’s most hardworking, knowledgeable and tenacious athletes he’s ever coached, he knew that her experiences mixed with her patience, carefree and easy-going personality would make her the perfect piece to complete his coaching staff.

In just a short amount of time, Gardocki made an immediate impact on both squads, espe-cially the distance group. She helped Madison Jacobi achieve a pair of bronze medals at the 2014 ACC Championships before she went on to take ninth place in the mile at the NCAA Cham-pionships with a time of 16:01.09.

Prior to Auburn, Gardocki was a three-time U.S. Junior Team member while swimming for the Aquabears Swim Club. She also holds Connecticut State Records and attended Suffield High School.

Gardocki is a native of Suffield, Conn. and is the daughter of Peter and Lynda Gardocki. Her sister, Sara swam for the College of Charleston. She majored in hotel and restaurant management at Auburn.

After coaching for some of the most presti-gious club teams in America, Joseph “Kit” Raul-erson enters his first season as an assistant swim coach under Frank Bradley.

Raulerson will be tasked with coaching the distance group along with heading up junior recruiting. Originally from Sanford, N.C., Raulerson brings a unique perspective to the Seminoles after play-ing a huge role in club swimming since 2002.

Raulerson worked at Circle C Swimming in Austin, Texas as an assistant from 2002-03 before moving over to Longhorn Aquatics as the associate head coach in 2003.

In 2004, Raulerson helped Longhorn Aquatics send 44 athletes to the 2004 Olympic Swim-ming Trials in Long Beach, Calif. where four swimmers earned a spot on the Olympic Team for Athens.

Following his four-year stint with Longhorn, Raulerson moved into a head coaching position at the Raleigh Swim Association from 2006-13, where he worked with both elites and beginners, including current US National Team member Sarah Henry, who qualified for the USA Junior National Team while representing RSA. She also placed seventh in the 400m IM at the 2012 Olympic Trials while finishing in the top 16 in the 200 breast in 2008. Her teammate, Hannah Moore also earned a second swim in the 200 back in 2012.

Prior to his club coaching days, Raulerson served as an assistant at Georgia Tech from 2000-02, helping men’s team to a second place finish at the 2002 ACC Championships, which was the highest finish in school history.

Raulerson first began his collegiate coaching career in 1998 as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Michigan, helping the Wolver-ines to the Big Ten title in 2000. While in Ann Arbor, Raulerson had the opportunity to work with two-time 200m fly US Olympic medalist Tom Malchow.

Prior to Michigan, Raulerson spent three years as a Science Teacher and Swim Coach at The O’Neal School in Southern Pines, N.C. while coaching the Sandhills Sandsharks Swim Team.

In 2014, Raulerson switched careers briefly and became a sale representative for iNet Process -a global partner with local expertise in North America, Europe and India based in Raleigh, N.C. where he assisted with the development and sales of company software.

Raulerson married his wife Maggie in 2001 and the couple have a daughter named Warner (10) and a son named Hayes (5).

Matt McVittieAssistant Coach

Third Year - Florida State ‘99

Matt McVittie is entering his third year as an assistant swim coach for both the men’s and women’s teams.

McVittie returned to his alma mater for the 2013-14 season for his first year as an assistant swim coach under Frank Bradley.McVittie works will all swimmers, how-ever he most frequently coaches those that specialize in sprinting and middle distances.

In just two seasons, McVittie has helped several athletes to All-American accolades while coaching the men’s and women’s teams to their highest finishes at the NCAA Championship meets since his days as an athlete. In fact, McVittie helped the relay team of Pavel Sankovich, Jared Pike, Connor Knight and Paul Murray establish the highest relay finish in school history at the meet as they took fourth place in the 200 medley relay in 2014 overcom-ing the previous mark of sixth which was originally set by the 1999 200 free relay that McVittie anchored.

In addition to collegiate athletes, McVittie also works with members of the profressional group that include former FSU standout Pavel Sankovich. Prior to the World Championships in 2015, McVittie helped Sankovich to the fourth fastest time in the world in the 100m fly (51.53). On top of his coaching duties, McVittie spearheads the men’s team recruiting. Matt McVittie enters his second sea-son as the assistant coach of the FSU swimming and diving program.

While a Seminole from 1995-99, McVit-tie was known as the ultimate relay swimmer, contributing six ACC titles and 10 All-America honors during his career, guiding FSU to its highest team finish in 1997 at the NCAA Champion-ships (Ninth).

In addition to his relay excellence, McVittie earned his highest finish at the ACC Championships in 1999, where he took silver in the 100 free.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Sci-ence in Communications, McVittie ran the Kamehameha Swim Club in Honolulu, Hawaii for three years as one of the head coaches. The club claimed three-consecutive state titles under McVittie with swimmers ranging from age group speed all the way up to senior national finalists.

Following his time in Hawaii, McVittie followed his former FSU head coach Don Gibb to the University of South Carolina, where he served as an assistant from 2003-2007.

In addition to his coaching responsibili-ties at South Carolina, McVittie maneu-vered administration tasks, such as maintaining the budget, implementing communication strategies and provid-ing logistical support on top of serving as the academic liaison to the athletic advisors.

McVittie guided a total of 14 Gamecocks to All-America honors, highlighted by an 11th place finish at the NCAA Champion-ships in 2004.

He was also valued for his recruiting skills, where he helped South Carolina sign the ninth best recruiting class in the country for the 2007-2008 season.

A native of Chelsea, Mich., McVittie is engaged to Lindsey Williams. The couple have an infant daughter Ashlyn Mae and a son named William Calder.

In his first season in a different element, FSU head diving coach John Proctor felt right at home in his first year as a collegiate coach.

He led three divers to the NCAA Championships, coaching Katrina Young to an All-American finish on 1-meter follow-ing an ACC title in the event. He also helped freshman Tyler Roberge capture an honorable mention on 1-meter.

At the ACC Championships, Proctor helped the men’s team score 113 points in three events, led by Roberge and Dylan Grisell who dove in two championship final heats each.

Young grabbed silver on platform at ACC’s and secured a pair of ACC Diver of the Week accolades during the season.

Proctor joined the Seminole staff after serving as the Program Director and Head Diving Coach of City of Mid-land (COM) Aquatics in Midland, Texas for 15 years (1999-2014). He built a nationally-known program where he has produced over 50 junior national individual champions including four USA Junior All-Starts and has also coached a finalist in every USA Diving National Meet since 2009.

In 2011, COM Aquatics was named a USA Diving Center of Excellence.

Since 2008, Proctor has occupied the volunteering posi-tion of Coaching Representative on the Board of Directors at USA Diving after previously collaborating on the Commit-tee for Competitive Excellence in 2004.

In 2012, he was invited to join the USA Diving staff at the FINA Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany.

“He’s a guy that is very well connected,” Bradley said. “I

know he will be able to work well with our athletes on top of being an excellent recruiter. We’re working towards something here as a program and I believe that John will help us get there. I’m happy to have him on board.”Proctor has produced a three-time and current national team member Anna James, who is currently heading into her freshman year at Purdue. James competed in the 10m-syncronized event at the 2011 FINA World Championships before contesting in the same event at the 2014 FINA Div-ing World Series in 2014 in both Dubai and Beijing.

While at the helm of COM Aquatics, Proctor oversaw the development of 225 athletes ranging from beginners to elite level divers in addition to heading the growth of five assistant coaches. Proctor has also been the heart of fun-draising for the club, generating over three-million dollars in athletic scholarship money since 1999 while directing the Dive Parent Booster Club.

During his 15 years in Midland, Proctor has volunteered for other duties that included both Junior (2000-2005) and Senior (2006-2008) Diving Representative roles for the Northwest Texas Diving Association.

Prior to 1999, Proctor was the head coach of the Tucson Diving Team while serving as the diving team manager for the University of Arizona (1997-1999). He previously was the Head Diving Coach at Ballard High School in Louisville, Ky. (1995-1996) after starting his coaching career as an age group instructor at Auburn Diving Club (1992-1993).

THE MORCOM AQUATICS CENTERTHE MORCOM AQUATICS CENTER

In 2008 Florida State opened its new $10.5 million Morcom Aquatic Center. The state-of-the-art facil-ity is located off-campus next to the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course. The main pool features up to 30 practice lanes and maintains a temperature of 80 degrees. FSU will be swimming in the same pool that hosted the 2005 FINA World Championships in Mon-treal, Canada. During those World Championships nine world records were broken. Included in the re-cord breaking performances were American's Aaron Peirsol (200m back), Ian Crocker (100m fly) and Jessica Hardy (100m breast).

The diving well features two one-meter and two three-meter springboards as well as one, three, five, seven-and-a-half and 10 meter platforms. The platforms are 10 feet wide making them the widest in the nation. The diving pool is kept temperature controlled at 82 degrees and also features a com-pression bubble used to soften a divers impact during entry while practicing platform dives. Divers will also be able to practice their dives using the dryland equipment which includes two springboards

attached to an intricate rope and pully system and a trampoline.

Spacious locker rooms and coaches offices are located in the adjoined 10,000 square-foot building, which house the athletes equipment and coaching staff

Since the unveiling, Florida State has hosted several prime events. The Morcom Aquatics Center served as host to the 2009 USA Diving Nation-als, the 2010 National Zone Diving Championships and the 2010 US Master Championships. It also was the diving training site for the 2009 World Championships, which took place in Rome, Italy.

In 2013, the Morcom Aquatics Center was host to the 2013 World Championship Trials, which con-sisted of a week-long display of the country’s best divers, including 2012 U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist, David Boudia, and silver medalists Kristian Ipsen and Troy Dumais.

In addition to competition, the Morcom Aquatics Center plays host to several training aspects for both club and professional training.

For two weeks in October of 2015, the British National Team trained in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

The TraditionConsistency. It is the mark of true excellence in any endeavor. In today’s intercollegiate athletics, competition is so balanced and so competitive that it is virtually impossible to maintain a high level of consistency. Yet the Atlantic Coast Conference has defi ed the odds. Now, in its 63rd year of competition, the ACC has long enjoyed the reputation as one of the strongest and most competitive intercollegiate conferences in the nation. And that is not mere conjecture, the numbers support it.Since the league’s inception in 1953, ACC schools have captured 141 NCAA team championships, including 72 in women’s competition and 69 in men’s. In addition, NCAA individual titles have gone to ACC student-athletes 159 times in men’s competition and 120 times in women’s action. Given the ACC’s strong history and the strengthening of its ranks with the additions of Notre Dame, Pitt and Syracuse in 2013, followed by Louisville in 2014, those numbers – and the league’s longstanding tradition of excellence – appear destined to grow in the years ahead.ACC Football enjoyed another banner year in 2014 as Florida State posted a 13-1 record, won its third straight ACC crown, won 29 straight games—which tied for the 12th-longest streak in college football history--and earned a berth in the fi rst College Football Playoff. Two ACC teams were ranked in the fi nal Associated Press Top 10 as Capital One Orange Bowl champion Georgia Tech (8th) joined the Seminoles (5th). The ACC fi nished with four teams ranked in the fi nal AP and Coaches polls, with Clemson (15th) and Louisville (24th) also being recognized, and became the fi rst Conference in history to send 11 teams to bowl games in back-to-back seasons. ACC teams defeated fi ve Top 10 non-conference teams in 2014, the most in a single season in league history.Over the past two seasons, ACC athletes have captured 14 of the 17 major national football awards, including the Heisman, the Outland Trophy, The Nagurski Trophy, the Lombardi Award and the National Football Foundation’s Campbell Trophy--the nation’s academic Heisman--which was awarded to Duke linebacker David Helton. Louisville’s Gerod Holliman tied the NCAA record for most pass interceptions in a season (14) and was named winner of the Jim Thorpe Award while Florida State’s Nick O’Leary captured the John Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end. In all, the conference tied its all-time high with six consensus fi rst-team All-Americas.The ACC total of nine fi rst-round draft picks in the 2015 NFL Draft tied for the most among all conferences, including the overall No. 1 pick in Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. The ACC also had 47 players selected in 2015, the second-highest total in league history and the second-highest of any conference.

2014-15 ReviewThe 2014-15 academic year saw ACC teams capture fi ve more national team titles and 16 individual NCAA crowns. In all, the ACC has won 72 national team titles over the last 18 years and has won two or more NCAA titles in 32 of the past 34 years.Academically, the member institutions of the Atlantic Coast Conference again led the way among Power 5 conferences in the latest “Best Colleges” rankings released by US News & World Report. ACC member institutions combined for an average rank of 54.8, marking the eighth straight year that the ACC led all Power 5 conferences.

The ChampionshipsThe conference will conduct championship competition in 27 sports during the 2015-16 academic year--13 for men and 14 for women. The fi rst ACC championship was held in swimming on February 25, 1954.The 13 sports for men include football, cross country, soccer, basketball, fencing, swimming and diving, indoor and outdoor track & fi eld, wrestling, baseball, tennis, golf and lacrosse. Women’s sports were initiated in 1977 with the fi rst championship meet held in tennis at Wake Forest University. Championships for women are currently conducted in cross country, fi eld hockey, soccer, basketball, fencing, swimming and diving, indoor and outdoor track & fi eld, tennis, golf, lacrosse, softball and rowing, with volleyball deciding its champion by regular-season play.

A HistoryThe Atlantic Coast Conference was founded on May 8, 1953, at the Sedgefi eld Inn near Greensboro, North Carolina with seven charter members - Clemson, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Wake Forest - drawing up the conference by-laws.The withdrawal of seven schools from the Southern Conference came early on the morning of May 8, 1953, during the Southern Conference’s annual spring meeting. On June 14, 1953, the seven members met in Raleigh, North Carolina, where a set of bylaws was adopted and the name became offi cially the Atlantic Coast Conference.Suggestions from fans for the name of the new conference appeared in the region’s newspapers prior to the meeting in Raleigh. Some of the names suggested were: Dixie, Mid-South, Mid-Atlantic, East Coast, Seaboard, Colonial, Tobacco, Blue-Gray, Piedmont, Southern Seven and the Shoreline.Duke’s Eddie Cameron recommended that the name of the conference be the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the motion was passed unanimously. The meeting concluded with each member institution assessed $200.00 to pay for conference expenses. On December 4, 1953, conference offi cials met again at Sedgefi eld and offi cially admitted Virginia as the league’s eighth member. The fi rst withdrawal of a school from the ACC came on June 30, 1971, when the University of South Carolina tendered its resignation. The ACC operated with seven members until April 3, 1978, when Georgia Tech was admitted. The Atlanta school had withdrawn from the Southeastern Conference in January of 1964.The ACC expanded to nine members on July 1, 1991, with the addition of Florida State.

The conference expanded to 11 members on July 1, 2004, with the addition of Miami and Virginia Tech. On October 17, 2003, Boston College accepted an invitation to become the league’s 12th member starting July 1, 2005.The ACC added its 13th and 14th members on Sept. 18, 2011, when Pittsburgh and Syracuse accepted invitations to join the conference. The two schools offi cially join the ACC on July 1, 2013. Notre Dame also offi cially joined the ACC on July 1, 2013, after announcing on Sept. 12, 2012 its intention to enter the league for competition in all sports but football, bringing the membership of the conference to 15. The Fighting Irish will play fi ve games with ACC schools each year. On July 1, 2014, Louisville entered the ACC on the same day Maryland withdrew, keeping the conference’s membership at 15 institutions.
