Sarah,

I understand that you are very supportive to those who are seeking refugee status and that10

you find having to sleep in a tent as inhumane, and so perhaps you can assist me?

As you may perhaps be aware that during the Second World War people were transported by

trains. Well, long after the war was over the Dutch Government had my friends and myself as 20

year olds put into trains and notably a steam train (You can seem me with my head outside the

train as prove it really happened.) and we had to endure days of being stuck in the trains. As I am15

aware many persons make claims without any evidence I will below include photos. We were

taken from The Netherlands to Germany and my friends and I ended up left in a field without any

ordinary comforts of life. So we had no choice but to set up tents to try to keep us sheltered

against the weather conditions. I have included below photos about the tents we were subjected

to set up and sleep in. And with the risk of wild pigs entering into the tents. On the one photo I20

am sitting in the centre before the tent, proving we were forced to sleep in tents.

We had no gas or electricity and neither any mobile phone or telephone facilities let alone any

television. Luckily enough some of us was able to cook some meals, and we shared this around. Ihave included a photo to prove this. I have also below included a photo how one of my friends

was provided with a bandage around his head, and on another photo you can see the red cross25

marking on the tank, from those attending to my friend. Later we were taken to some buildings

and as the photo included below I was subjected to hanging but survived the ordeal.

Thereafter they caused us to have to run a distance.

And as if all this was not enough on our bodies we had to endure being locked up in a steel

container that went over fields, but now inflated air tyres for us. I have included below photos30

that show how through a small hole I was able to make photos They even had tanks following

us, and again I have included photos of them following us.

My friends and I were also required to be near the river Elbe, where our lives were at danger of

being shot by soldiers. I was unable to make any photos there because that in itself could have

resulted to being shot. As if this As to prove we were at the Elbe I have also included a photo of35

one of my friends was not enough we were forced to crawl through the mud while a soldier was

shooting live ammunition over our heads. There was a lot more to it all but by now you may

understand how inhumane we were treated. I have also included a photo how I looked before the

government placed my friend and I in the trains and I can assure you that this harrowing

experiences and the time passed with it has caused me to look about 40 years plus older. After40

you have seen the photos then I will explain matters further, so you will be aware it really did

happen, and I was at the time forced against my will to be subjected to this all.

So perhaps you might provide me with a refugee status so I might be better off? After all I am

struggling now and wouldnt mind you giving a helping hand to make life more comfortable.

Ok that was way back in 1968 as a conscript being forced to serve in the Royal Dutch Army, but

then at least I was not a coward to flee from my home country to try to get a better life others

have worked for. I was there at the then known Iron Curtain. And the crawling through the mud

under life firing was the obstacle course. But I view that those Australians who served overseas

and subjected to wars they had to fight in, and even died, also were subjected to living in tents, or

often without a tent merely sleeping without blankets, as in wars there is often nothing there but

just the warmth of other bodies, even if they are dead mates to shield against the cold, etc.

Have you ever been in the army and slept in a field with just your ordinary field clothes on5

without a jacket and so in the poring rain? If not then try not to be a judge about sleeping in a tent

is inhumane because quite frankly you seem to understand nothing about what real life is about.

As I view it you and your party are offending every Australian soldier to pursue that we act

inhumane against the so called refugees.

Did you see how there was this program where an husband and wife were transported back to10

Indonesia and then when the wife was pregnant they again made the journey to Australia and

then tried to blame the Australian government for being inhumane to send this pregnant women

back in a Orange boat, a safety boat, but somehow it was not in humane for the husband to cause

his pregnant wife to travel in a risky boat at the perils of the sea?

I am a self-educated CONSTITUTIONALIST and unlike you bothered to research h the15

intentions of the Framers of the Constitution and they specifically inserted ss51(xxvi) so that

undesirable races could be kept out and also criminals. While I personally dislike racism, as a

CONSTITUTIONALISThowever I have to accept that the constitution being our primary law

must be obeyed, in particular where you as a Senator only have the privilege to be a senatorbecause of this constitution. If you dont like our constitution then well you are free to move to a20

country that has a different constitution, perhaps Iran? See then how much better off you are.

I would urge you to make it worthwhile for taxpayers that you spend first of all your time to

research and understand/comprehend the true meaning and application of the constitution before

you open your mouth again. Intelligence is not achieved by being elected a Senator. Intelligence

is obtained by using your brain in a constructive manner and that to me you are failing to do.25

In my view a person who travels past the nearest country from his homeland cannot be deemed

to be a refugee, as a refugee who seeks a safe haven will accept to be sheltered in the nearest safe

country. Travelling so to say half around the world isnt particularly making a person to be a

refugee. And, if they leave an Indonesian refugee camp then they no longer can be deemed to be

a refugee and indeed it is an insult to implied claim that Indonesia is persecuting them where30they provided them with shelter.

I was in the army more than 45 years ago, and yes look a bit older for the wearing, but I am well

aware that in life you must be considerate. While you may promote refugees to come unchecked

into Australia, like an unarmed invasion, lets hope you do not have a daughter that ends up

being raped by a person who has a culture where paedophilia is acceptable. I have extensively35

written in my books published in the INSPECTOR-RIKATI series on certain constitutional

and other legal issues about how to deal appropriately with refugees. We should make sure that

the proverbial widow with 5 children left for years in a refugee c amp is not denied to be

considered for settlement merely because so to say queue jumpers use money to advance of

them. Those who are in refugee camps and willing to learn the English language and Australian40

ways of life in my view should be considered for placement, as they show a positive interesttowards the Australian community.
