Marking one month of their struggle to bring down the SC judgment against gay rights, the community gets together for a protest today. 0ne month after the Supreme Court upheld the Indian Penal Code's section 377 that criminalises gay sex, the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community is orgainsing a protest at Connaught Place today.The community has called SC's decision a serious challenge to the right to dignity of individuals.The community believes that there has been a lot of support to their struggle against these laws from the media, political parties and government representatives. Noor Enayat, who is going for the protest, says,"How can Supreme Court tell anyone how to live? It is a question of basic rights." As the legal proceedings continue, the community wishes to remind of the battles they have already waged within their own lives and in the society that we live in.TRANSCRIPT
