2015 Kutch, Falstaff Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, Pinot Noir 100% Whole Cluster | Alcohol: 12.3% | Production: 250 cases | 100% Neutral French Oak (no new) Falstaff sits towards the extreme edge of the Pacific Ocean and is easily our coldest site. In 2001 owners Ron and Judy Lougheed planted the Goldridge soils to 3 different clones of Pinot Noir. Today they have managed to cultivate some of the most intense and smallest clusters of fruit we receive. With berries often the size of peas, our tiny yields are often below 1 ton per acre and while economics are challenged, the quality is bountiful. • 3 day lag time followed by Native yeast fermentation & native malolactic fermentation in barrel • All of the fruit was crushed and punched down by foot • Gravity movement of all wine • 100% whole cluster • 100% Neutral French oak, no new • Aged Sur lie for 17 months without racking, blended and bottled on the 17th month • 550 feet elevation, 8.4 Miles from the Pacific Ocean, 2nd ridge inland Planted in 2001 • Orientation: North / South on a rolling hill • Spacing: 8x5 • Trellis: Vertical Shoot Position • Pruning: Spur pruned, 2 canes, no spurs, no leaf pulling • Rootstock 101‐14 • Clone: Dijon 828, 777 & 115 • Soil: Marine quartz sandstone & Goldridge
