Oscar Predictions for ActorsThis year there were a lot of good movies and of course a lot of flops. Some will go down as the worst movies ever made and some will become classics. Although here are my predictions for the Oscars 2014. Leonardo DiCaprio: The Wolf of Wall Street This movie has caused some of the most mixed reviews in past years. This movie is either pa ssed off as one of the best movies ever made or one of the worst. Martin Scorsese rarely holds back in any of his movies, which of course you should keep in mind when going into this 2 hour and 59 min monster of a movie. This movie has tremendous acting but out of the 3 hours it feels about an hour and a half, of course spread through the movie, is almost a soft core porno. But put all that aside and you have some of the best acting in Leo’s career. The three hours he is on screen gives him three hours to prove himself, which he does mesmerizingly , he captures every part of the money crazed drug addicted pig that was Jordan Belfort. As soon as the beginning you're joining right in on his drug and sex filled life. Leonardo DiCaprio should get an Oscar nomination and has a good chance at winning for the first time. Although he probably will not get even nominated considering the fact that half the Academy loved this film and half thought it was disgusting and hated it. Although if nominated his chance of winning would be 90% chance. Christian Bale: American Hustle This movie had everything. It had a a great storyline, great dra ma, humor, and of course fantastic acting. Christian Bale swapped his thin cut body for the potbelly of Irving Rosenfield. He did a fantastic job with the accent of Irving and of course portraying a trustworthy conman. Of course this movie had other great acting which I will get to later, but thinking Oscar terms Christian Bale will probably come head to head with Leo this year. Christian Bale probably will be nominated and has a 80% chance of winning.
