Safari park imposes dress code to stop visitors scaring theanimals

In a safari park in England visitors have been asked not to wear animal print clothes becausesome clothes confuse or frighten some animals. Zookeepers at Chessington World of Adventuresnoticed a change in the animals because some visitors wear clothes similar to animal skins whenthey where in a guided truck tour.Animal behaviour consultant Dr Candy D'Sa said colours and patterns can provoke strongreactions in animals.Keepers reported that some animals had tried to communicate with visitors, while others had runaway, fearing they were predators, because of clothes similar to giraffes, leopards, cheetahs ortiger skin. Because of that, those clothes have been banned immediately.

    Work and educationChildren wars

Children in Afghanistan play with gunswhen they should be playing with a ball, because they have grown up in the war.Other ones are recruited for the war, whenthey are children. They work as cooks,

    messengers, spies,

decoys or at the war frontline. Most of thechildren are kidnapped when they areplaying in the street or when they are goingto school. But a few ones have joined thearmy voluntarily because their families havebeen killed.

We think that children wouldnt be playingwith guns or going to the war, because they have to be educated and to play as children, becausethat is what they are, simply children.

LifestyleLife nowadays is very different from what it traditionally was.Traditionally, when you were 20, you were already married and forming a family, and at 25, youhad your own house and family. But nowadays, it is very different. You study until you are 22 or23 and until you're 25 you don't find job. But now, with the crisis, its almost impossible to find

    it.

A research reveals that there is a 54,37% of youth unemployment and that is the reason why the22% of the people younger than 30 arent emancipating.

The crisis is one of the reasons why those peoplearen't emancipating, but there are many more. One of them is that living with the parents ismore comfortable. Your parents love you andthey want the best for you. For that reason, theygive you home, money and food. Some of those people, with that money, starttheir own business and decide to emancipate. Butwith the time, and because of the crisis, thebusiness is not successful and they have to livewith their parents again. Those people continue

trying to find job and they sometimes find a temporary one.

starts again. The government says that it is because they are confronted because of the conditionsof peace, but the real reason is that the rich people want to win money, and they dont think ofthe poor people that have lost everything (including their families) in the war.

    Food and HealthTheobesity

The 33% of Mexicans are obese and 71% are either obese or overweight. According to 2008 datafrom the UN Food and Agriculture Organization Mexico at that point had the highest rate of

    obesity among large countries.

More weight, more health care spendingAt present, nearly 15% of Mexicos health budget is spent treating obesity-related illness. In

2008, the country dropped over 40 billion pesos ($3.2 billion) on the disease, more than doublewhat it spent in 2000. Nearly 10% of Mexicos population nowsuffers from diabetes, which isassociated with the increases of the obesity. Diabetes is the second-leading cause of Mexicanmortality, killing 80,000 people die per yearsignificantly more than the number killed bycountrys drug wars.

Unless something changes, the problem is expected to get worse in the next decades. Eatingunhealthy food and over-drinkinghave become a normal thingin Mexico.

Sebastian Vettel has raced intoFormula Ones historybooks. He crossed the finish line almost 30 seconds clearof Mercedes Nico Rosberg in Sundays Indian Grand Prixand he has won his 4thchampionship, at the age of just 26years and 116 days. He has equalized Juan Manuel Fangio,

Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost as four-times winnersof motor racings greatest prize. When he finished, Vettel made some doughnuts, then he

ran back to his garage and launching himself into the arms of his car designer Adrian Newey, and Horner.Vettels victory ensured Red Bull a fourth consecutive constructors title, an incredibleachievement for a team in only their ninth season. Its been an amazing ride, admitted Newey, for whom this was a 10th constructors title spreadacross three teams. At the moment the combination of Newey and Vettel is proving invincible. The 26-year-old did not even need to win Sundays race. With Ferraris Fernando Alonso the

only driver still mathematically capable of overhauling him, he only needed to finish fifth orbetter to be sure of wrapping up his fourth title. But there is no question now that Vettel deserves to be spoken of as one of Formula Onesgreatest ever exponents.Intelligent, precise, patient, if you were to create the perfect modern-day driver Vettel would bethe prototype.Vettels place in history is assured now.

    School-TripFirst day (Portugalete-Cavas Codorniu-Barcelona)

We left Portugalete at 6:30 AM, on a bus, on the way to Cavas Codorniu. The journey took 7 hours, and we arrived there at 1:30 PM. We thought wewere going to have lunch, but we didnt, we had a guided visit. It was fine,

but we werent very interested in the process of doing it. Then we had lunchand we travelled another hour to Barcelona. There we did a panoramic viewof Barcelona, first on the bus, and after that in Montjuic, with a touristicguide. We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 PM, and we had dinner there. Afterhaving dinner we went out for a while, but there was nothing to do inBarcelona and we returned to the hotel. There were students from Galicia inour flat, and we spent almost the whole night speaking with them. I think I

    slept 2 hours.

Second day (Barcelona-Salou)We visited the Sacred Family, and GellPark during the morning. Both of themwere designed by Gaudi, and they are

amazing and very beautiful. We went to LasRamblas to have lunch, 4 of us, went toKFC, the other ones went to an Italianrestaurant. After having lunch we boughtsome presents for our families, and we met some Italian people. Then wewent to Camp Nou, and in my opinion, San Mames is better. We spent 30minutes in the museum and other 30 in the stadium. Then we went to

Salou by bus , where we were going to sleep the rest of the days. We had dinner and we wentout. We knew a bar called Kalea, that looked really nice. But it was closed and we stayed inanother one called Garage.

    Third day(Salou-Tarragona-Salou)

  • 8/12/2019 2014 newspaper Jon A. eta Laura J.

    25/26

We visited the city centre of Tarragona, and all the Romanruins, the walls and the amphitheatre. In the walls we sawsome sculptures, one of them of Romulo and Remo. Theturistic guide told us thatsomeone had stolen the childrenstatues, and what we saw were retort. We saw a statue of the

Caesar Augusto. After that we saw the amphitheatre, were thegladiators battled. We ate some sandwiches and we returnedto Salou. We stayed an hour in the hotel, and we went to the beach. There we spend all the afternoon, and we played a football

match against some Andalusians. The water was freezed, so we didnt stayed too much there. We

went out at night, and we returned to the same place than the day before, but we didnt enter to

    any bars.

Fourth day (Port Aventura)We arrived in Port Aventura at 10 oclock, but we had to spend an hour and a half, waiting on

the queue. When we finally waited we had the best idea of all the school-trip, we bought afastpass, to wait less time in the queues. We first rode on in the Furius Bacco, after that in the

Tutuki Splash, where we got very wet. Later we metAne, Zorione and Mario and we entered the 4-Dcinema, I didnt like it. We had lunch in a mexican.

After that, we did a relaxing train-road around the park.

When the train-road finished, we went to the Far West,to ride on in the wooden roller coasters, first in theStampida, and then in the Tomahawk. We waited thelongest queue of the day there, 30 minutes, because wecouldnt use the fastpass. And after that to the bumper

cars. It was half past five and we had to be in the exit at 7 oclock, so we went to the Dragon

Khan. The roller coaster broke down when we were going to ride on it, but they fixed it in 10minutes and we rode on after a security travel. The last thing we did was to go for a walk aroundthe park. At seven oclock we got on the bus and we returned to the hotel.

We woke up at 8 oclock and we had breakfast. We got on the bus at a quarter past nine, and we

returned to Portugalete. I spent all the journey sleeping, except when we stopped to have lunch. We arrived at half past 4.The school-trip was incredible! I would repeat it if I could!
