Sportsmanship

• 1. Only cheer on winning shots• 2. Do not cheer on unforced errors• 3. Do not talk to the competitors while they

are on the court• 4. Do not assist in keeping score, even if asked

• Ask a coach if you are unsure

Dress and Uniform

• Practice– Weather appropriate clothing, pants/shorts with

pockets• Matches– Black shorts with pockets or black skirt– Correct/Team identifying shirt

Cell Phones

• Turned off or silent• Acceptable uses:– Calling for rides– Informing parents of court sites– Change of court site

• Ask a coach before using your phone

Medical Conditions

• Inform a coach about specific medical conditions– Allergies– Asthma– Other

Practice

• HS 1st Practice – March 31st MS – April 7th

• HS: 4:30-6:30 MS: 3:45-5:00• 1st 2 weeks(M-Th): HS 3:45-4:00 in wt. room• Wednesdays – HS: 4:30-6:00• @Middle School courts– Poor weather? HS: Ft. Lincoln MS: Christ the King– 4:00

Beating the Heat

• Drink a glass of water 30 min to 1 hour before match or practice

• Replenish all lost fluids after practice• To help build muscle and for muscle recovery,

eat protein (ex. meat, chocolate milk, …)

Challenges

• Will begin Friday April 4th , weather permitting• Helps determine the lineup

Varsity Matches

• Varsity plays first, then JV• Exhibition matches are possible for lower JV• All players stay until the last match is finished

and courts are picked up
