Welcome to the Leadership Academy!

Congratulations, you have been selected from a long list of applicants to join the Bell

Leadership Academy Program! All your hard work and dedication to this point has been

recognized as you join the 'best of the best' in Bell’s Leadership Academy.

The 6 month program will focus on teaching and equipping you with the skills and

experience to further develop your career. This unique program involves leadership training,

coaching, knowledge-based project sharing and shadowing. While no roles are promised at

the end of the program, it will be a fantastic platform for you to learn and develop valuable skills for all aspects of life.

Make sure you pull the most from this program by fully utilizing all the resources we throw

your way. I am delighted to have you on the program and look forward to working with you

more in the future.

Tegan Monaco – Manager, Leadership Development Tegan first started her career in HR, then moved into a role supporting our QA, Training and Communication teams at Virgin. Since April 2012, Tegan has supported our Bell Leadership programs for new Grads, Management Development, Team Leads and Agent development. She is the lead on developing our talent and fostering a broad range of development experiences for our people.

Michelle Perrone – Leadership Development Specialist

Michelle has been with the Bell team since 2000, beginning her career in Mobility Prepaid and Postpaid customer service. Her attention to detail and strong multi-tasking abilities led her to different roles including reporting, analysis and

administration, and makes her a perfect fit to support our Leadership Programs. She currently supports our Customer Operations team with our Leader Enrichment Learning Sessions, Leader Development Programs and Leadership Academy.

. Vicky Kalantzis-Paljug – Leadership Development Specialist

Vicky has been a Bell team member for over 14 years and has well-rounded operations experience ranging from Corporate Store Sales to Supply Chain Management. Previously a Human Resources Advisor, she possesses the essential skills to recruit the right people and support our development programs. She is primarily supporting our Graduate Leadership Programs and Management Development Programs.

Nina Penner- Leadership Development Specialist

Nina has been with Bell for 10 years with most of her time spent in a training and development leadership role. She has supported and led both internal and external training delivery teams around the world. Having been responsible for the

accreditation and leadership of up to 30 Trainers, she also drove the development of training delivery processes followed today across the business. Nina’s primary responsibility is to develop and manage the Management Development Programs for our

internal and external leaders. Jill McClay – Leadership Development Specialist

Jill joined the Leadership and Development team in April 2013. She gained valuable experience working as an HR Manager at Virgin Mobile for three years supporting Call Centre Operations. With over 12 years of recruiting experience, Jill will be supporting the Graduate Leadership Program including our Fall campus recruitment activities and Grad rotation planning

Leadership Academy Program

FOCUS:

The 6 month program will focus on teaching and equipping you with the skills and experience to further develop your career. Whilst no roles are promised at the end of the program, it will be a fantastic platform for you to develop your skills.

IN A NUTSHELL IT WILL COVER?

Learning about Marketing, Retail, HR and Projects 50 roles across Bell Mobility, BRS & Virgin Mobile. Be a 6 month program… there won’t be commitment to a role at the end Include regular progress reviews to ensure candidates are top performing reps An average of 8 hours of training per month --50% during scheduled hours & 50% outside (but paid of course!!)

Leadership Training The Leadership training you will participate in has highly interactive sessions that use a stimulating variety of methodologies to address different learning styles. Participants have an opportunity to apply the models and concepts using real-life situations. Throughout the session, there are plenty of opportunities to address leadership challenges and ask questions. You will be scheduled to participate in a series of leadership modules for the first few months of the program!

Summarize your proudest accomplishments to date: In my career at Bell I have had the opportunity to wear many hats but the proudest time in my time with the company has been in my role with the Training Team. I have been able to use my passion to share my knowledge with others and help to mold and guide my Initial trainees and help in making them a success in their paths with the company. Along with that I have had the chance to be actively involved in many community affairs that Bell sponsors. Ie. Knapsack Initiative as well as recently the Comfort Care Packs. I have been able to use my talent in leadership to rally my team together and have an impact on the amount of $$$ and awareness raised for these events. Received Wall of Fame for September.

The reason for this is that although small in stature she was able to make a BIG impact on those around her. 1. Summarize your proudest accomplishments to date: The accomplishment I am most proud of, is that i have been able to return to school after dropping out after high school, I took a cooking classes, and that brought me the possibility to work with famous chef here in Montreal

Wilmadene Stewart

1. Summarize your proudest accomplishments to date: This year has been filled with a lot of accomplishments. In April I won the nominations to attend the Women’s conference CEP Women Of Ontario on behalf of my local union. It was amazing. I had the chance to meet a lot of successful women. I had the opportunity to put my creative and organizational skills to work for the month of September. I was given two assignments. Create an information board and a “Fun Day” for the DMC with a $400 dollar budget. Both assignments were completed with success. My info board is now the DMC Messenger board and the DMC Appreciation day was a blast with the cotton candy and Snow Cone Machine. In the end all my hard work allowed me to be awarded the Ultimate Team Player award for the September Wall Of Fame. On a personnel note I have saved up enough money for my down payment on a new home. 2. Something that people don't know about you: I cry when I watch TV shows for ex. The Voice 3. One word to describe yourself: Ambitious 4. Personal interests (hobbies): Fashion, starting a Non profit organization to give back to my community. I also love planning and organizing kid’s birthday parties. 5. Who is your role model My father always reminds me what is really important in life. 1. Summarize your proudest accomplishments to date: I consider one of my most proudest accomplishments to be my honours degree from York University. For me, receiving a degree not only holds value as a credential but also represents the discipline, determination and persistence it takes to obtain a degree. Also, my time at Bell Canada thus far has given me a lot to be proud of. My goal from day one has been to grow myself and continue to reach my full potential at Bell. Just a few months after joining a team I was chosen to represent as Ambassador, and soon after were recognized as the most successful team over all in the centre. I’m proud of having graduated Computer Programming from Seneca @ York . I worked very hard, studied meticulously, and was well prepared for assignments & exams. I lost almost 100 lbs roughly 10 years ago now. I still keep fit and have kept that weight off. It took overall many years of dedication and vision. 2. 1. Summarize your proudest accomplishments to date: In the spring of 2013 I set a goal for myself to run a ½ marathon (21km). I aimed for a time less than 2 hours & 30 minutes. End Result: I ran 2 ½ marathons, less than 30 days apart. 1st one I completed in 2.20 hours, 2nd in 2.16 hrs. I am very proud my of accomplishment even more given that I had a major surgery in January that took 8 weeks to recover from, and it was the also the year I turned 40. 2.
