Welcome to the 2014 Country Club of Lincoln Junior Golf Program. Every effort has been made to create programs and schedules that will enable your junior golfer to participate. We would like to encourage all boys and girls who are interested in learning how to play golf to join our program. Clinics are open to children of ALL membership classifications. Clinics, tournaments and other junior golf events that your child can participate in, are listed in this booklet.

Parent Volunteers Parents are urged to walk along with kids while they are playing on Thursday mornings. Volunteers serve as scorekeepers and may give suggestions to any Junior while navigating around the golf course. This is NOT a requirement of any kind and would simply serve as additional help to the Jr. Golf Staff.

Memorial Sportsmanship Award 2014 will be the thirty-second year the Brian Bettenhausen Memorial Sportsmanship Award will be presented to a deserving golfer. Brian exemplified the qualities of proper attitude, practice habits and respect to-ward fellow competitors. Past recipients are:

Junior Golfer of the Year Award 2014 will be the nineteenth year the Matt Hayes Junior Golfer of the Year Award will be presented to the most outstanding junior golfer. Matt demonstrated superior skill and exceptional overall performance in the game of golf. Past recipients are:

Here is how it all works
Tiny Tikes / Intermediate / Advanced
Tiny Tikes
• The group is made up of the -8 yrs of age
• Clinics are offered for (2) sessions during the summer
• They will received basic instruction along with NEW and FUN activities
Intermediate
• The group is made up with kids aged 9-12 depending on ability
• Clinics are offered for (2) sessions during the summer
• They will receive instruction along with exposure to the course
• Required to play a minimum of (3) holes
Advanced
• This group is made up with kids aged 12-18 depending on ability
• Clinics are offered for (2) sessions during the summer
• They will receive instruction along with exposure to the course
• Required to play minimum of (6) holes

Spring Junior Clinic • Open to kids of any age
• Focus is on Athletic Development and how that carries over into golf
• Students will be divided into different stations based on ability
• Cost is $60 per student for Golf Members children $75 per student for Social Members children
• Clinics are from 4:00-5:00 pm on the following dates

Summer Junior Clinic
• Two Sessions are offered with the option of doing either one ($80) or BOTH at a discounted rate ($140) for Golf Members children, ($100) per session for Social Members children

Fall Junior Clinic
• Instructional Clinic offered to Boy AND Girls
• Cost of the Clinic is $45 for Golf Members and $60 for Social Members
• Clinics from 4:30-5:30 pm on the following dates...

(Cont .) Kid
• Kidguest out to play golf.
• This is ONLY offered to Juniors who participate in the Junior Clinics.
• Kids do not need to bring a guest out to participate. Golf Staff will be available to help pair up Juniors who want to play.
• Younger Juniors (3 & 6 Hole Juniors) will need a parent or grandparent to be a walker. Juniors with bags tags will not need adult supervision.

Parent Child Tournament • Tee times throughout the afternoon, to try and en-
sure the most participants finish at roughly the same time.
• Juniors may have an immediate family member as their partner.
• 2 Person teams compete in the Juniorhole division.
• Prizes are awarded for each division.

Junior Club Championship
• This event incorporates all skill levels of our junior program.
• Stroke play competition. • Trophies are awarded by age and also by hole desig-
nation. • Parent walkers are utilized for
every group excluding 9 and 18 hole juniors.
• All junior participants receive a food voucher at the Cabana!
Thursday , August 7
(Summer Clinic Times)
Juniors play with the Pros
• Signup open to the first 20 kids with 6-hole ability and above.
• Juniors will be able to sign up in the Golf Shop to play on a team with one of the Pros at no charge! Juniors will be assigned to play on a scramble team with a designated Pro.
• Pizza will be served immediately after play!!!

How to advance though the stages Age Groups are only set as a starting guide, they may advance independent of their age group and more on ability
Beginners Clinic-only participation. Exposure to SNAG Golf equipment and our NEW putt-putt golf course!
From Beginner to 3-Holers Any beginner shooting 2 scores of 30 or less for 3 holes from 150 yard marker, with both scores witnessed by an adult or other junior who has their bag tag.
From 3-Holers to 6-Holers Any 3-Holer shooting 2 scores of 24 or less, from Short Tee markers, with both scores witnessed by an adult or other junior who has their bag tag.
From 6-Holers to 9-Holers or any junior golfer wanting to get their BAG TAG Any junior golfer shooting 2 scores of 64 or less on either the Front or Back 9, from the Short Gold tee markers, with both scores witnessed by an adult or a member of the golf professional staff. Once a junior has received their Bag
Tag, they are able to play and practice at specific times each week *UNACCOMPANIED* by adult supervision.
