Buttons are your community badge identifying you as a Fringe citizen and are a necessary accessory when attending Fringe-sponsored events. Wear it with pride! If you see someone with a button, feel at liberty to ask them about their Fringe experience thus far: shows they loved, shows that inspire, shows theyd avoid. The best way to plan your days is through word-of-mouth from fellow Fringers. Your Fringe Button provides perks:

$1 Community discount on all ticket purchases sold through the Fringe $1 off drinks at Fringe Central Entry to Fringe sponsored events Evidence that you are a member of the Fringe community and a supporter of the arts

The button costs $5. You can purchase a button online or at the Fringe Box Office (at Fringe Central, 6455 Santa Monica Blvd.). Buttons purchased online can be picked up at Fringe Central.

    TICKETS

Tickets to all productions (including some last-minute additions that arent included in this printed guide) are available at www.hollywoodfringe.org. Starting June 12th, you can stop by the Fringe Box Office (at 6455 Santa Monica Blvd.) from 5 PM until 11 PM weekdays or 2 PM to 11 PM on weekends to purchase tickets to any show in the Fringe. You may also purchase tickets by calling 323-455-4585 (additional fee applies) or by using the Fringe app on your mobile phone. Tickets will also be sold at the door of most performances.

    THE FRINGE APP

Our festival app is now available for free download in both the Apple App and Google Play stores. When you download the mobile app, youll be able to purchase tickets on your phone to over two hundred seventy-five festival productions, as well as browse shows by location, time or category. The app can help personalize the Fringe experience by allowing you to create a unique profile, manage a list of favorite shows and customize your schedule on-the-go. Additional features include a map and navigation for all Fringe venues, access to show reviews and a news feed of the latest Fringe events.

    REVIEWS

Giving feedback to an artist about their work or suggesting a show you loved to a friend are powerful contributions to the arts. Write reviews for individual Fringe shows at www.hollywoodfringe.org, or update your own blog, Twitter or Facebook account with your unique point of view (and be sure to use the hashtag #HFF14 and post on the Fringe Facebook page). These reviews are essential when audiences have so many shows from which to choose.

    COMMUNITY AWARDS

Participating in the community by seeing shows, producing projects, hosting venues and writ-ing reviews automatically makes you eligible to receive a ballot for our community-voted Fringe Awards, which can lead to big successes after the Fringe for the winners! Come to the Awards & Closing Night Party on June 29th at Fringe Central to see who wins!

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrat-ing freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts. Each June during the Hol-lywood Fringe, the arts infiltrate the Hollywood neighborhood: Fully equipped theaters, parks, clubs, churches, restaurants and other unexpected places host hundreds of productions by local, national, and international arts companies and independent performers.

Participation in the Hollywood Fringe is completely open and uncensored. This free-for-all ap-proach underlines the festivals mission to be a platform for artists without the barrier of a curative body. By opening the gates to anyone with a vision, the festival is able to exhibit the most diverse and cutting-edge points-of-view the world has to offer. Additionally, by creating an environment where artists must self-produce their work, the Fringe motivates its participants to cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurialism in the arts.

Fringe Central (6455 Santa Monica Blvd.)

We are thrilled to once again be hosting the Fringe social space in a tent on Theatre Row, some-thing we did back in 2011. The community center of the festival, Fringe Central features free pro-gramming, networking opportunities, food trucks, Fringe merchandise, major Fringe events (like Fringe Prom) and is the location of Bryans Bar, the infamous Fringe watering hole. The Fringe Box Office staff will be present to assist you with all your Fringe wants and needs. Fringe Central will be open 5 PM to Midnight Mondays-Thursdays, from 5PM to 2 AM Fridays, from 2 PM to 2 AM Saturdays, and from 2 PM to Midnight on Sundays starting June 12th. This venue is 18+ only.

We believe the best ways to experience the Fringe are by bike or on foot. Get exercise and pro-tect the environment! Most of the venues are within walking distance of each other, so its possible to see four or five shows in close proximity all in one day. Use this Guide (and the Map on the back page) to plan your day accordingly. Most of all, be safe!

    Public Transportation

L.A.s public transportation system (the Metro) includes buses and rail lines. There are two Holly-wood stops (Red Line) indicated on the Map (at the back of this Guide). You can plan your public transportation trip using the Metro Trip Planner at www.metro.net.

    Parking

If you must drive, please keep in mind that parking in Hollywood can be difficult on evenings and weekends, so make sure to allow for extra time. Always make sure to read the posted signs as certain areas are restricted at certain times. There are many pay-to-park lots with flat rates from $8 to $15. There is also a good amount of street parking to be found on smaller streets.
