Kids enrolled in summer day camp at the Fox Valley Family YMCA have the best that summer has to offer right at their fingertips. With daily dips in our pool and use of our Aqua Track obstacle course, gymnasium, outdoor pavilion, and 17 acres of outdoor space to make the most of...whether that means practicing a talent show act with friends or giving a pie to the face of one of our amazing counselors.

Our summer day camp also offers enrichment programs in gymnastics, dance, music, and sports that will further enhance your child’s summer. Program instructors will safely escort children to and from any classes they attend. Plus we offer a 25% off discount on any classes campers take during day camp hours!

So join us and make the most of summer! Write your own adventure, build character, and make new friends along the way!

FIELD TRIPSAll participants attending camp the day of a field trip are required to go. All children MUST wear the provided camp t-shirt during the field trip. Detailed field trip information will be provided at the Open House on May 21 and at the sign-in table during Summer Day Camp.

CAMP COUNSELORSOur caring, trained staff counselors are professional role models certified in: CPR, DCFS Mandated Reporting, First Aid, and Leadership Trainings. They’ve also been known to be professionals at handling hurt feelings, untangling friendship bracelet thread, tie-dyeing, and coordinating dance routines for our talent show.

CATCH KIDS CLUB (CKC)CATCH is a physical activity and nutrition education program designed for elementary and middle school aged children (grades K-8) in an after-school/summer setting. CKC is composed of nutrition education materials (including snack activities) and a physical activity component.

JUNIOR ACHIEVERSJunior Achievement (JA) is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. JA’s unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver the curriculum while sharing their experiences with students. Embodying the heart of JA, our camp volunteers transform the key concepts of lessons into a message that inspires and empowers students to believe in themselves, showing them they can make a difference in the world.

EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY CAMPSages 3-5 | $65m/$85nm | CentralSet your child off on an adventure in learning and exploring in the context of “first hand experiences.” The YMCA takes pride in offering program options conducted by experienced, degreed teachers who make learning fun. SPaniSH immerSion | June 9-August 15 | M-F | 12:30-3pmThis new offering will be taught entirely in Spanish, using games, crafts, dancing, music, stories, songs and more. We explore various themes designed to build a large vocabulary base, while constantly exposing your child to essential elements of conversational Spanish. Children do not need to know any Spanish to take this class. This class is offered on a weekly basis.DinoSaur mania | June 9-13 | 9am-12pmPractice classification, measuring, sorting, and language development with words like “Herbivore.” This camp will take field trip to Raintree Dinosaur Park in Yorkville.Zoo animalS | June 16-20 | 9am-12pmThis camp will kick off with a field trip to Phillips Park Zoo where children can gain knowledge and understanding of animals that live in the Midwest.
