AUTUMN. 2014 ANNUAL UPDATE Greeting For The Fall! FOOTSTEPS TO FOLLOW Footsteps To Follow extends seasonal greetings for the Fall and the ensuing holiday season. During our 2013-2014 calendar year, we have met with continued success as we move forward on our mission to provide career guidance to under- served youth in our communities. Not only have we increased our pool of volunteers, we have also broadened the range of careers represented, including computer engineering and physical therapy. We welcomed a new Volunteer-Liaison, Aisha Greene, Esq. She succeeds Whitney Matthews, Esq., who has joined our FTF Board. FOOTSTEPS TO FOLLOW

Footsteps To Follow extends seasonal greetings for the Fall and the ensuing holiday season. During our 2013-2014 calendar year, we have met with continued success as we move forward on our mission to provide career guidance to under-served youth in our communities. Not only have we increased our pool of volunteers, we have also broadened the range of careers represented, including computer engineering and physical therapy. We welcomed a new Volunteer-Liaison, Aisha Greene, Esq. She succeeds Whitney Matthews, Esq., who has joined our FTF Board.

FTF continued our outreach and partnership with other organizations: ●In May, we partnered with the Cedemore Corporation for their day-long Girlz Talk symposium, which was hosted by Hofstra University. FTF volunteers comprised a diverse career panel for the discussion, "How Did You Get That Job?"

●For the fourth consecutive year FTF worked with the Police Athletic League to provide career and personal development workshops for young women in Staten Island, Queens and Brooklyn, including presentations of, "The Color Code" by Board Member Karen Booker, CIT, CCC. This seminar on interpersonal relationships, team building and setting goals is a continuing hit with teens! The 2013-2014 calendar year also marked the expansion of our school programs to include Grover Cleveland High School, as well as a return to The Dumont School, IS 268 and The Accion Academy, where Board Chair Elaine Williams, Esq. assisted in coaching the students' Mock Trial Team to honorable recognition in a city-wide competition. The team also received gift cards on behalf of FTF at Accion's annual SALA Awards honors dinner, held at Columbia University's Faculty Dining Room. We offer special thanks to Footsteps volunteer Joy Howell, MD who delivered the commencement speech for the Accion Academy, Board Member Robert Smith, MD who delivered the commencement speech for the Dumont Academy and Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Parke who delivered the commencement speech at IS 268 in June 2014 and implored them to strive for their personal best as they move forward in higher

As we move forward and continue to offer additional programming and opportunities to our youth such as the essay writing contest which was introduced this past year, and we welcome our incoming Board Chairperson person we hope for your continued support and a renewed commitment to Footsteps To Follow.
