Welcome Cattlemen,

Krista and I along with our children Taylor, Ty and Trisha would like to welcome you to our 3rd Annual Bull Sale. This year we are also offering a very select group of females. The open heifers are a very fancy and stylish group. They would work in a purebred herd, bred to black or for club stock to get an excellent set of calves. We do not sell a group of females like this very often, and they will produce and do well for whoever purchases them. The cows have been specifically chosen for this sale. They have done very well for us. The 458 S cow was purchased on the Wright Charolais Sale. She produced a heifer and a bull in her first 2 years on our ranch.

Back to the bulls, I believe they could be the best set we have raised so far. They are a deep, soggy, rugged set of bulls. They will go out and do a lot of work their first year. As always we stand behind our bulls with a first year breeding season guarantee, which is 60 days after you turn the bulls out. They will have all passed a breeding soundness exam by Dr. David Camezind from the Laurel Vet Clinic. He has been strategically involved with our total herd health.

We will also be offering 5 purebred angus bulls. They are a very functional group of bulls that have excelled in growth. They could be used on heifers or cows as they have very moderate birth weights. The angus bulls will not sell as registered animals.

If you take your bull(s) with you on sale day, you will get $50 off of the sale price. We will also deliver the bulls free of charge within 200 miles from our home.

This bull has everything it takes to make a super herd sire. Larry says he could possibly be the best bull in the offering. His dam is one of the very best Vedvei bred cows he purchased many years ago. She was born in 2004 and has calved in the spring every year from 2006 through 2013 and is due again in 2014. He has really come on from a pretty darn good weaning weight of 768 lbs, but look at his yearling weight and ratio, the 2nd highest yearling ratio. This Turbo sired son comes from one of our really productive Hubert Charolais Ranch bred purchases. She was born in 2003 and has calved in February or March every year since 2005. Her four previous bull calves had adjusted weaning weights of; 730, 683, 816 and 791 lbs.

A good picture bull out of a first-calf-heifer, that is a Turbo daughter out of the dam of the Lot 6 bull in this sale! Now turn your attention to his extremely low birth weight of 68 lbs and then note that his 830 pound weaning weight ranks him the 3rd highest in his contemporary group of 36 bulls. His BW EPD puts him in the top 2% of the breed for low birth.

This picture bull will gather attention sale morning. He has a nice smooth shoulder, and is deep-bodied. He boasts a nicely balanced set of EPD’s, low birth and great performance levels. He is out of Ty’s really good Rio Blanco cow that has done a super, super job. Since her purchase she raised three bull calves that weaned off at 848, 718 and 794 pounds plus this guy at 789 lbs. This bull also has a very quiet disposition.

A really nice Polled Rex sired bull that is a true calving ease sire. This bull’s dam raised the 2nd highest weaning weight bull in last year’s 2012 calf crop with a 121 ratio. Depend on these bulls for lots of sleep during calving season. This bull ranks in the top 1% of the breed for Calving Ease EPD and in the top 3% for BW EPD.

There is calving ease in all of these Polled Rex sons. Polled Rex is the #10 top bull of the breed on the 2014 AICA Sire Summary for Calving Ease and the #23 bull for low BW. We didn’t catch a weight on this older January calf until way late and couldn’t adjust his weaning weight. But there is performance in the sire and dam of this good bull. His sire was our choice from the 2012 Denver Reserve Grand Pen-of-Three at $7,250 and that bull CCR Fortunate Son 48P had a weaning weight of 992 lbs. The last two bulls calves the dam of this bull had in 2010 & 2011 had weaning weights of 840 and 873 pounds and were the #1 and #2 weaning ratio bulls of their contemporary group.

These will be the first bulls to sell out of our newest herd sire we purchased in Denver. These sons of his are real soggy, deep-sided with that thick top just like their sire.
