prospectus. Within this prospectus there is a number of our courses listed.

Chic Beauty Academy is a VTCT approved centre where we offer NVQ Level 2 in

Beau-ty Therapy and NVQ Level 2 in Nail Services we are also a provider of short

accredited beauty courses.

Chic Beauty Academy was formed a few years ago—from training with several

companies over the years we decided to set up our own school to provide a service

second to none. At our training school it is a relaxed, no pressure attitude as we

find our students work well in this kind of environment.

Chic Beauty Academy have trainers on their team whom are experts in their fields.

Our trainers have 11-19 years experience in the beauty industry from working in

salons, home based salons as well as setting up their own salons. So you will get

first hand experience from them. In the time we have been around we were short

Direct and ABT Associated Beauty Therapists for their short

accredited courses. Both regulating bodies have thoroughly

assessed our course content and material to a high standard

before accrediting us.

With all our courses being accredited students can then get

insurance upon successful completion to work on the public.

This shows the professionalism of the therapist and shows

the therapist is taking their job seriously. A factor clients will

NVQ Courses

Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Beauty Massage & Level 2 Nail Services

VTCT is the specialist awarding organisation for the hairdressing and

beauty sector and the first non-unitary awarding body accredited to offer

the Principal Learning for the new Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies.

VTCT is a Government approved awarding organisation offering National

Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications

(SVQs) and other Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs). VTCT has

been in existence for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of

developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United

Kingdom. VTCT qualifications are internationally recognised.

Who is the course for?

The course for someone with a genuine interest and passion for beauty or

nails. An individual that wants to pursue their career within the beauty or

nail industry. Once qualified you can either work in a salon, go mobile or

set up your own salon or nail bar.

Entry Requirements

Candidates need good communication skills and have a calm and

profession-al approach as they will be working with clients. They will be

assessed on their skills and knowledge in Beauty Therapy and Nail

Services.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught by our qualified trainers at our centres. There will be

theory lessons as well as practical lessons. You will be producing a

portfolio as you go along be it photographs, practical assessment, written

assignments, oral questions and answers. With the practical lessons

students will be working on each other as well as real clients as you will be

assessed to see if you are ready for a real work environment. There will

also be an element of home study.

Short Accredited Courses One Day Eyelash Extensions Course With

Kit £200 Eyelash extensions give definition to the eyes using mink eyelash extensions. The

client's natural individual lash is isolated and the extension is applied. Eyelash

extensions give emphasis to the eyes making them appear larger and the lashes

longer and lifted. Semi-permanent eyelashes last as long as the life cycle of the

Short Accredited Courses ½ Day Eyelash Lift/Perm Course With

Kit £150

Students will learn the art of Eyelash perming/lifting, a treatment which

creates a fuller look to eyelashes without the need for you having to go

through the eyelash extension treatment! Some people don't like getting false

eyelashes for many different reasons but the biggest is having your eyes stuck

down with the tape the eyelash technicians use so they settle for getting their

lashes permed instead.

This is a semi-permanent method of curling your eyelashes. Curled eye-

lashes will enhance the appearance of your clients eyes and lasts an average

of 4-5 weeks. This is a method of enhancing your eyelashes and your face

giving an open eyed look. An eyelash lift gives the lashes a lift from the root

Kit - £300 Students will learn the soak-off and infill of gel nails technique which has become

the treatment that has transformed the nail industry! Gel nails provide the beautiful

high gloss colour of a polish and the no-chip durability of a gel. An easy removal

provides quick, safe colour changes.

Gels are hard gels which you can create nail extensions with using a UV lamp to

cure the gel to harden it. You will learn the difference between soft gels and hard

Short Accredited Courses 1 Day Micro Ring Hair Extensions Course

Inc Tools - £200

Hair extensions are a form of lengthening the hair, giving finer hair a thicker, fuller

more volumised look. Hair extensions are a semi-permanent method of lengthening

hair and the results can last 4-6 months depending on which method is used and how

well they’re maintained. The results also depend on the type of hair used.

At Chic Beauty Academy we recommend using AAA+ indian remy hair. If low

quality hair is used the results won’t last as long and the hair will get damaged over

time.

At Chic Beauty Academy we are offering a one day Micro Ring Hair Extensions

Course. Micro Rings is the least damaging hair extensions method for the hair. You

don’t use glue, heat or any form of metal on the hair. We use silicone micro rings and

clamp them to the hair.

What makes Chic Beauty Academy different to other companies is we don’t have you

working on a model head we have you working on each other on the course so you

get the feel of working with real hair which makes all the difference.
