2. NEW GWA SIGNS
The Gillette Woods signs - our “Calling Card” to Friends & Visitors.
The 6 signs were all in need of rehabilitation – 4 were not salvageable for the wear & erosion that had occurred over the years.
NEW GWA SIGNS
• Community Input received: Make the Signs More Welcoming
• The Board determined that all 6 signs should be alike and be provided to all GWA areas.
• Local sign maker, SignSource, produced & installed the signs, and removed all old material.
New signs were in place in February, 2014.
NEW GWA SIGNS
The Generous Donations from 48 Gillette Woods residents covered 68% of the cost of this Project!
We are grateful for the generous support and are pleased with the outcome!
3. GWA & Invasive Plants
Facts of Life: Death, Taxes and Invasive Plants !
The GWA Irregulars experienced something of a “stand-down” during the extraordinary 2013 summer
rains which created a damper to those efforts.
The culprit plants: English Ivy, Tree-of-Heaven, Privet, Bamboo & Kudzu
GWA & Invasive Plants
